Tony's Tyre Service - New Lynn

Absolute rip offs!
My friend was charged for things she was told were not going to cost. She also came away with a quote of just under $3000 for things that supposedly needed doing.my husband has looked over this car & 8/10 of the things on the list don’t even need doing!

I came in with a flat and they took one glance at the tyres and told me I needed tyre replacements for all of my wheels. They didn't try checking for punctures/nails by hoisting the car up and doing a soapy water test to check if there was a leak. I ended up taking the car to New Lynn Motors and they determined none of the tyres were leaking, removed the nail, and filled up the tyes and let me go on my way without charge.

Been going here for years. I've bought 2 sets of tyres from here. But I'd say the standards have been going downhill.

After one of my visits I came to pick up my car like this (as per photos). It was pressed up again the concrete wall causing paint damage but the Indian guy goes "Oh don't worry. It's nothing".

Also, I purchased a voucher in 2021 which included 6 wheel alignments, wheel balancing, tyre rotations etc. Wanted it done but they said it had expired after only 2 or 3 uses. They asked for my physical voucher but it was lost when my car was stolen. But before that I didn't even need my physical voucher.

I was a vip member here cause I got mucked around another time also.

Awesome service from the guys at Tony’s, I was in and out with a wheel alignment nice and quick. 10/10 experience, will be seeing them again soon for sure!

Wheel alignment guy was pretty good. Unlike another place I went to, the team at Tonys seemed to know what they were doing

Didn't click with the guy I spoke to in there and I was sure he was hustling me but I could be wrong

My car is a Hybrid, Jeetender asked would I like the standard oil or Hybrid or oil for a Hybrid, I went with Hybrid Thankyou.

Came yesterday to get my puncture tyre fix. But it got flat again. So came back and bought a new tyre from them they even cleaned our dirty rim. Superb customer service

I got a full set of bridgestone tyres for my mazda, filled with nitrogen, its a night and day difference with driving now

highly reccomend the new lynn branch and have also had good experience with other branches in the past

The store manager "Jeetender" was disgustingly rude and unprofessional.
Overcharged me for items and added in things I didn't even want. Taken advantage of. Poor workmanship on want was done

The honesty from the staff and mechanic and the professionalism were what I was impressed with also the service I will be back thanks lads

Got a really good service and price as I went to change my tires. Very friendly and were happy to answer a multitude of questions that I had.

If I could give a 0 star review I would. Went in initially to have my brake pads changed. Was unable to change them as I need a new caliper, so understandable. The problems started when they put back my old brake pad on wrong, so I am now in need of another rotor as it has worn the rotor uneven. We came back in and they said they are unable to help. We also had a puncture, they said they couldn’t repair and we had to pay $397 for a new tire as our car needs special tires. After going to Mullins tires they pulled the nail out and it wasn’t fully punctured so there was no need for it to be fixed or replaced. All in all very dissatisfied with the service they have shown and would not recommend their service to anyone.

Taking advantage of a 17 year old school girl at New Lynn. Providing prices on 2 Tyre options that they could not supply. Telling the school girl she needed 4 tyres when she only needs 2. Gouging full price on the only tyres that they could supply which were the most expensive. Unrepentant staff proud of the unnecessary and hard upsell and taking advantage. Gave them the opportunity to put it right said no way. We will be complaining to the MTA. This does not align at all with your brand promise. Lowest price…. What ever.

Incredibly friendly and professional staff. I walked in without an appointment and was back and hour earlier then estimated. Incredibly pleased with the quality of work and service.

The team here were really easy to work with. We came in with a flat tyre, as the shop was closing and the ran us through our options and got the tyres replaced. Great friendly service from the whole team!

Good customer service, just took a bit longer than expected. But good communication and friendly.
