Try It Out Restaurant reviews
49As always, still busy and nice customer service! Tasted good and I will recommend it to my relatives and friends. I will come back again.
Food is delicious! Authentic vietnamese cuisine worth every cent. Car park a bit sparse in front of restaurant but the otahuhu car park across the road is ok too.
Try this place out, as the name of the takeaway indicate. Tasty authentic Vietnamese food serve here! Fast service and food served hot! You will not be disappointed. Good job guys!
I haven't eaten in every Vietnamese restaurant in the country but, from an extensive sampling, this is among the best now on offer. The staff are warm and inviting, the atmosphere is laden with authentic aromas of pho and lemongrass and the place is exceedingly popular with locals and visitors. No visit to greater Auckland should exclude the Try It Out. Sensational.
They have been doing wonderful Vietnamese food for many years, ignore the plain decor and just enjoy the sumptuous food, you will return
Horrible food, shocking service, dirty and unhygienic table surface, at least four tables still had dishes on them after customers had left. Don't get me started about the toilet. Avoid this place. The only reason I stayed was because friends treated me to lunch.
The food is good and the portion is large. Customer service can be improved. I have been there twice all been served wrong food.
My third visit here and unfortunately will be my last. Food is 4/5 but the service is 2/5. The waiter could not have been less enthusiastic about providing service and the food all arrived at different times.
One salad dish arrived 10 minutes before the next salad and then my daughters sandwhich arrived 15minutes after that.
The food is consistently good. The portions are generous. The prices are good (excluding drinks which are overpriced). The service unfortunately is patchy.
I was always curious to try them out. Booked for a family of 5. It was pathetic, and I would never recommend them to anyone. Food was over priced, the servings was so small that really shocked us all. When you pay for a 28 dollar dish, you'll expect a good serving. Ordered 5 dishes, and when it came out we were disappointed. Poor quality food aswel, compared to other similar places. Quickly ate and paid, on our way out, cashier called me back as he over charged us.got back my refund. Never again will I ever go back. I'd prefer vietnamese cafe just across the road or Sam Woo. My favourite place to go is All fresh Kitchen, Manukau. I am so confused with the 4.3 stars, these people need to to try other places to determine what good food taste like especially more bang for your buck.
Disappointing food especially their much vaunted lemon grass chicken egg noodle pho.
There was only a few small pieces of lemon grass flavoured chicken provided and not much noodle in the tasty soup.
Very poor value at $17.50 per bowl. Our waiter looked very unfriendly and extremely bored! I cannot recommend this Vietnamese restaurant to anyone.
Furthermore I just cannot understand how there are so many good reviews for this restaurant.perhaps they are not authentic ones!
Homely and delicious pho. Nice portion size for the price and you can tell it was made with care and long hours toiling over the broth.
They dont sell hot chips, otherwise food was ok. Not memorable so probably not for us again. Thanks
No lemon grass in my lemon grass chicken. Overrated. Vice news ripped me off left a bad taste in my mouth. Should of gone to Wendy's.
Their food is really nice but the cloth they use to wipe the table smells so bad it's like they've been using it for the last five years. It's five years because I've been eating there for the past five years.
Whenever and wherever we sit there's always a musty residue on the table.
They should really look into replacing the cloth because it smells so bad.
Been going there for years. You will never go wrong with "Try It Out" if you want some Vietnamese food fix.
The place is very clean and very friendly to go in and dine. The food there is of a very good standard. There is so many different varieties of foods to choose from there too. Would go in there for lunch or dinner.
Nice restaurant, it's always busy during the lunch hours. Most of crowd during weekday Lunch hours is from surrounding offices.recently increased the prices.but the quantity or dish size is quite large.the food is great, ambience is okay and the staff is friendly.it's family friendly restaurant
Staff are accommodating even though I make countless requests, portions are generous and the food tastes like my parents' cooking. Service is quick, premises are clean with enough parking, and my kids love the water feature and aquarium. Only reason why I don't do takeaways from them is the polystyrene containers - be good to see a switch to cardboard.
Very tasty and traditional Vietnam food.
I recommend this restaurant. The staff working in a restaurant are from Vietnam Which is mean. The restaurant has all the Vietnam atmosphere.
Heard of this place from a VICE video, ended up going quite late on a Sunday night just over an hour before closing. Not a ton of people and the staff had started cleaning up but we were still able to order and eat. And yeah just as other people have said and as peolle have seen in the VICE video this places overs some amazing Vietnamese food. I had the pho with rare beef and it was really really good. Tasted fresh, very flavourful and fragrant, exactly what you expect out of great Vietnamese food. If your in the area or even if your not it's definitely worth it to Try it out.
