Great little cafe with a nice, fresh outdoor area out back. Excellent smoothies and food, and very friendly service. A really nice surprise.

Really nice place to go with a group. We sat in the courtyard out the back which was really nice, we had immune compromised people in our group so we're always looking for good outdoor dining options. Kitchen was accommodating of our dietary requirements. I will say they could have more vegan options but what they did have was tasty. It took a bit of a while for our food to come out, but we did have a big group so it was probably just a big job to get it all ready:)

It was my birthday so my daughter brought me here after reading the reviews. There was only 4 people in the cafe when we arrived, the Asian guy behind the counters brought our coffee, no acknowledgement whatsoever.when the next lot if people arrived, the Indian gentlemen walked over promptly giving them water with glasses as was served to e eryone else.why the bias? Not sure and I definitely do not want to use the race card but unfortunately that is how I felt. I have lived in NZ for 40 years, this attitude is disgusting and people should be treated the same despite the amount of money they spend or the colour of their skin or race.

The coffee is good and the menu is extensive. We really enjoyed all three meals we ordered. The service was friendly. We’ll be back!

One of my new favourite cafes for eating at outdoor (but covered) seating. I've enjoyed all my meals on the three occasions I have visited since discovering Twisted Tomatoes, as have my friends. The Calamari, Mr Benny and Creamy Mushrooms meals were all delicious.

Enjoyed our meal here. Excellent selection of food. One concern is that the pricing on the board didn't match the physical menus and unfortunately we didn't grab the receipt to check.

Had the French Toast and the Peri-Peri chicken burger. Food was awesome! The service was warm and friendly. Will definitely be going back.

Stumbled upon this cafe one day and we’ve become regulars ever since. The food is amazing and their eggs Benedict is the best we’ve ever had. I’m a huge fan of big breakfasts and theirs is definitely satisfies my cravings. The portions are great and the staff are always friendly.

My Mum and I absolutely love Twisted Tomato. You can tell that the food is cooked with love, and the coffee is great too.

Very yummy date scone and coffee. No time for breakfast today but they looked good as well:)

Great service, immediately served coffee while browsing menu, food came out quickly and everything was on point. Would come back

We thought we'd revisit Twisted Tomato after Cam left and new owners took over.
Unfortunately it's a shadow of it's former self.
Mediterranean Kofte was off the menu and my usual poached eggs and bacon on ciabatta was down a slice, and as for the "Salad Burger" with chicken, meagre.
Cabinet food is also considerably smaller portions.
Savouries by the till is very unhygienic considering the amount of people who stand over it while ordering and paying.
The photos are a good comparison and speak for themselves.
Not a good way to retain existing customers, and probably won't come back.

Coffee is very good and food is good, very good.

Went for brunch today absolutely delicious, you can see the care and love that they put into their meals. My son loved the fries so crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. My Benny was fantastic with the different flavors but really work well together. The coffee tasted like coffee. Thanks guys.

I've visited this cafe maybe four times over the years and I can say that the quality has not dropped. The service, food, and staff have always been great. Excellent coffee and beverage selections. Highly recommended

A great local eatery, good coffee. Particularly enjoyed the pea and halloumi fritters and Japanese fried chicken burger! We will definitely be back

What an absolute gem! I opted for the big breakfast (aka Mr. Big) and it ticked all the boxes. Perfect eggs, perfect bacon, timely service with a smile…these guys are going places. Thanks team, love your work!
