The worst lines company you could imagine. 3 power cuts in 4 days - all unplanned and in the evening. Central Auckland.

When our gasfitter told us our old gas meter was a safety risk, they said to get in touch with our gas supplier for a new one. So, we got in touch with Nova, who said, no problem, they'll log it as urgent and let Vector (who supply/maintain the gas meters) know so they can get a contractor over ASAP.

So, maybe 7pm that night, we get a call from Vector. They can't send a contractor over, it turns out, because Nova needs to do a site check first. I need to call Nova and tell them that Vector is telling them to do a site check. WHAT? Have Vector and Nova recently had a divorce, and aren't speaking!? When I enquire why they're telling me this and not Nova directly, the reply was "we don't have a way to contact them". Amazing. I don't have the energy to revisit the litany of lies that spewed forth from the operator when I questioned this, so let's skip forward a few hours of after-hours on-hold with Nova to pass the message on, skip through a whole week, to yesterday when the 'safety risk' was still unaddressed with no contact from anyone.

Luckily when I followed up with Nova again, a miraculously helpful Nova support staff member arranged a friendly contractor out that day, and we have a shiny new meter. 30 mins of work. No thanks to Vector support staff. Except maybe thanks for treating my time like dirt, and thanks for zero commitment to the safety of everyone in our building.

Appreciate for the amazing work you guys did from Cyclone Gabrielle. My power was cut 2ce and has been fixed both times. You guys worked all through the dark in strong wind to get it fixed! My second power outage came back around 9pm while the wind was still going! Thank you so much for the rescue.

Nothing has changed with Vector. Still a third World service. (It appears most of NZ is catching up to Vector and also providing a 3rd World service) It still blows my mind that NZ does not have competition between line companies. What has happened to the quality of leadership/ management in NZ? We seem to be on a race to 3rd World status.

Last night the power went out again at 10pm. I noticed it was just us- no neighbours with the same issue.

I rang Contact Energy and relatively quickly got transferred to Vector. With out too much hassle (only 10 minutes and 15 seconds on the phone) Vector said it would send someone out.

Within 48 minutes a very nice man from Vector arrived. This is unbelievably quick, considering we are relatively remote. The power was restored in approximately 70 minutes.

Vector deserves congratulations (especially the linesman who restored the power so late at night). This is a real turn around in service experience.

GOOD ON YOU VECTOR.

23 Feb 2019 Vector still a 3rd world company. No power since 6am, it is now 2pm. No storm, no bad weather, no power. I will keep adding to this review every time the power is down.

What a 3rd World Company Vector is. Why would a power company decide to change a transformer without notice at 8.15pm at night. Vector must be managed by morons. Vector continues to be the worst managed public company in New Zealand. It is a crying shame the Government hasn't allowed for competition with limes companies.

We lost all power at our house on the North Shore at about 8.30 last night. We soon realised it was just our house with the problem and on further investigation, saw that there were no power at the meter. I called vector at about 9.00pm The call was answered immediately, where I was advised depending on other jobs on, it was unlikely that a technician would be there before the morning - which I understood fully. A Technician however arrived at around 10.15pm and power was restored just after 11 last night. Superb service all round. Thanks!

We got a card from Vector and says there will be power outage on 21 Feb at 10pm. As our shop close at 11pm, we close early yesterday, appologised to all customers, turned off all devices, and then, nothing happened. I went to Vector website to check this morning, and it was CANCELLED, without telling us. I dont even know will that maintainance be re scheduled or not. I dont want to ask my customers to leave early again. GOOD JOB Vector, as always, not suprised

Great customer services team full of lovely overworked people but obviously something is not working internally. Reported an outage 3 days ago and I keep getting told its likely to be repaired tomorrow and I keep getting ticket numbers that are progressively higher. When tomorrow comes, I'm still in the dark and cold without electricity. I didn't realise NZ was a developing country.

Funny thing is most houses around my area has managed to regain power and it feels a few selective houses including mine have been ignored. Areas that have reported power outages later than myself have already been repaired. Not sure what they are constantly assessing instead of doing the actual repairing. Literally told them that my power meter does not show any readings. Gotta love playing monopoly.

We live in Wade Heads on Whangaparaoa and our neighbourhood has lost power a multitude of times during these last two crazy storms. Vectors employee’s were out there in the wind, rain and hazards to get our power on as quickly as possible. THANK YOU - the words are too small for what it means to people to have the comfort of a charged mobile, a light, a cup of tea or coffee and the voice of a loved one. You are heroes

Called Vector as needed an operation that was brought forward they advised I could put my costing for works on hold by emailing in, so 7 working days later I find the quote will time out at my cost via email.so called to re-explain the situation and was told the "not free quote" will time out and they'll contact me in five days while Im on a morphine drip to let me know what they think. So the line to move is in the same place for 40yrs.do they think materials or labor will increase to absorb their contingency in two months? Wow no competition in a 100 mil per quarter company means if you're the client.you're not actually treated like one

Why are you doing planned maintenance during a weekday daytime? We're all working from home nowdays - you should understand how big this impacts are work. Consider doing maintenance after-hours or on weekends instead?

The website refers to an App. There is no App, it doesn't exist. You are given a case number, almost impossible to find where to enter it on website to get updates, I have not found anywhere to enter it. Just phone instead. There is an area outage in my area but their faults map does not show it and searching on my address shows no fault. Report Card, could do a lot better. Update to Vectors reply. The address thing doesn't work and shows no fault reported for your address even though you have reported it and this can be a day later when the fault is still unresolved. I realize that this is how it is supposed to work but it isn't

Vector NZ refuse to rectify a network fault, that causes electric shocks on a property and excessively low voltage when power is consumed on the property. For some reason, we have a voltage coming into the property on the main neutral conductor, which as is, is connected to the earthing arrangement (M. E. N system) creates an electric shock hazard on exposed metallic components, such as stainless steel sink benches and metallic cladding on the garage. Vector hierarchy have pointed the finger at the property having the fault, however Vector technicians (who have been fantastic to deal with) have admitted a fault exists on their network.
Low voltage on a daily basis chucked into the situation. Vector refuse to admit the fault lies within the pole mounted transformer.

Sounds like maintenance is not a priority, simply filling the pockets of shareholders comes first with remedial works on the network as a "we will get around to it" when the time suits.

Vector is doing an outage from 8am-4pm when people are working from home. I see lots of reviews saying the same thing, but it seems that Vector doesn't care at all.

Ridiculous, our power was turned off as our actual power we are with had close for the day & has mentioned if any outage or faults happen please call vector, we called and one guy comes & says he can't do the job with an unprofessional manner & has Said we will have to wait for our power provider to connect us the next day so upsetting as we've had this problem and it was solved, I then kept on complaining and they just said sorry we can't do anything on our end and we would have to deal with no power, but so grateful to the same guy who solved our problem turned up & turned our power on. Cummon vector why put someone on the job that doesn't know what to do, & even the contact center over the phone was useless also.

Top effort in Torbay re-establishing power supply bypass so quickly after a traffic accident took out a pole.

As part of the full day maintenance in Kaipatiki Road, Glenfield, they disconnected the internet connection and doesn't care about the users and it's importance. I have to raise a call to my provider to get it resolved, which will take 2 days to resolve
