VINZ - Vehicle Inspection NZ - Mt Wellington

Vandals! Declared my window tint illegal on import from Australia. It had been tested 4 times in NSW and was compliant. NZ and Australia have the same window tint standard (35VLT). Queried test result in early 2022. VINZ refused written email request for evidence test returned >35VLT, under Order number 107876 (19671231) and has not provided any test data since. Damage to vehicle exceeded $500. VINZ is either corrupt or incompetent.

Came to get inspection for rego, but was booked out for over a month. Frustrating as website didn’t mention being able to book online (I looked for online booking prior to coming). Staff were very pleasant and polite though, but website is frustrating and needs to be clearer.

Time to update your website!

Took truck over for COF only to find you don't do them.

Good quick service. Failed both vehicles I took there but were very helpful in showing what the genuine issues were, and how to fix. After I got some work done, they happily passed the wofs. I feel my car's are safe and we're well inspected. Very professional but also friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Waited 2 hours for a wof! Service was terrible! Two truck n trailers beat me to be checked, staff bot helpful, persin checking looked dumbfounded.

Took my Trailite for COF this morning in an out in 1 hour.very easy with very pleasant staff. Thankyou. Lew

Took my car for a WOF, scanned, entered and only 1 customer was on the way out. The blonde lady behind the counter so lovely, clear and precise with instructions on where to drive and park my car for inspection. She even gave me a heads-up about the eftpos machine having a bad day before I was about to pay. Great customers services everyone. Thank you. Stay safe

Booked and paid online, on the day waited 45 minutes to get to reception and then got told my booking was canceled
And still haven't received a response or refund yet.

I only needed a recheck. After being ignored for nearly an hour by the 2 yes only 2 workers for the whole place. I will never return to this place. Very poor service.

Another worst inspection site but now the employees are exgrssive also.went in the lane to get a wof.one on of the managers so called sunny was rude and said we dont care.so had to leave.worst and doggy unless u pay extra in their pockets.

Good friendly service.highly recommend for small cars.not busy.the two busy lanes are for commerial trucks.

I have found VINZ to be fast, they are honest, unlike many garages that suggest extra things to repair for profit. They point out only the nesarserryary parts of the car to repair, overall, good service and free coffee.

Professionally trained stuff, good management and systems are in place, if I could was gonna get the hole New Zealand truck companies to get their vehicles checked only by VINZ MT wellington.

Ram and the team are just awesome to deal with. What was shaping g up to be a major drama elsewhere, was just so easy AT VINZ MtWellington.

Terrible to deal with from start to finish. Everything from not checking their emails for documents we had sent them, to vinning the vehicle as petrol when it's a diesel. Avoid at all costs!

Got there at 11.30am. Waited for a half hour in the line before asking reception what was going on. Waited another 25 minutes to the be told they are all on lunch. Left them to it. Complete waste of time.
