Volare Restaurant

Volare has been great in the past but at the last couple of visits the food has been disappointing.
At the recent visit I had scallops which were undercooked and the sauce was bland. I asked for the scallops to be put back into the pan, but they came back looking and tasting the same.
At the visit before that, the pork belly was dry and chewy.
The meals are too pricy to be risking another less than amazing dinner.

The Waitress we had was Taryn, great staff, extremely bubbly and outgoing, she lifted the whole mood, food was incredible too. She even wrote a note on our pizza pox.definitely recommend coming here again

We were recommended by our Airbnb host. The food was delicious and service was impeccable. The food was delivered incredibly quickly and we dined both Friday and Saturday nights. Definitely coming back.
The staff looked really relaxed and happy to work here!

I took my son here some months ago and we absolutely loved the place; the food was superb and we were made to feel very welcome. I’m from out of town and I can’t wait to come back!

We showed up at opening time, to eat here first time. Only to be told we needed to "book first" and they "were fully booked". We genuinely did not know. However he was in no means obliged to, but Eddie made an exception to squeeze us in an "open but limited window". We had a great meal none the less, the environment was quite nice, and the service attendees were well at hand to check on us if our meals were to our satisfaction. Next time, we know now to "book in advance. " So thank you very much Eddie. Eddie was no nonsense, straight up, to the point and an accommodating host.

Accepted booking for dinner on 30/12 and sent a confirmation email. We arrived and it was closed until 10/1 based on a sign in the window. We then had to make other arrangements which was not ideal when travelling internationally.
Website makes it look much, much nicer than it would have been. Appears a run down, drab place from the outside which did not look clean with finger print marks and smears all over the windows.

Hey! Visiting from Canada, this was our big date night out after a month in a campervan all over Newzealand the day before we fly home. We booked a reservation days in advance. Amazing food! We ordered bruschetta to start, then I ordered the gnocchi as a main, and my husband got the lasagna. We also got the tiramisu and fondant cake for dessert. The tiramisu was light and delicious! The only downside to our date night here was being placed on their second floor, at the back. It felt like we were in a closet. The owner or one of the employees (I think it was Op?) had an 80th birthday that they had everyone sing happy birthday for, but we were the only ones upstairs and felt so left out: (. We both got all dressed up too but we were up top alone with no view (next to a wall) Even the ceiling was too low for my husband to set next to it. I wish we were on the main floor, it was a huge disappointment for me.

Easy to book, really great food, friendly and efficient waiting staff, Efficient and courteous host, all round an excellent place to eat.

Everything was superb. The food was fantastic, the wait staff were all very pleasant and enthusiastic, and the service was relatively fast. Will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed the food, would have been a 5/5 if the pasta was handmade.
The prices were reasonable, service fast. The wait staff were attentive, helpful and kind. We took a 1 year old and they were also super helpful with a highchair - I do recommend booking this when you book though as it seemed to be hot property.

Neat little place tucked away in Manurewa. Absolutely great Italian cuisine. Will visit again soon

Food was not fresh and did not enjoy it at all. Better places with nicer food out there. Won’t be coming back.

Upon entry we were greeted, by the manager, Eddy who was welcoming and friendly and quickly escorted to our table upstairs.

The wait staff were just lovely. They introduced themselves to us by name and were very professional, attentative, friendly and relaxed enough to enjoy a joke with us.

Our meal was delicious and upon leaving the chef greeted me and asked how our meal was. A nice touch I thought.

We will certainly be back again to this fabulous family owned restaurant which has been around for more than 20 years!

Been here during lockdown and for the 2nd time just tonight, both were for takeaway and the food was amazing.staff is always awesome to interact with and it's location is a great spot indeed.firm handshakes volare!

Food was amazing would eat from there again, would have been 5 stars but although the service was i felt we were a bit rushed to leave at the end of our meal staff were very friendly though.

Incredibly authentic experience! Great atmosphere from start to finish, food was lovely and just had the best time! What an absolute gem
