This place is always busy so you have to queue!
If you don't want to waste 2 hours of your life & save money, check when your WOF is due, plan & book a WOF inspection ahead with someone else!

A team of slow, Lazy and inexperienced inspectors who seem to would rather be spending their time in the VTNZ toilet to kill time. Took my car for a re-check after and after a 2.5hr wait and they failed it on a brake imbalance. I took it straight to Albany vtnz because I knew something wasn’t right and they pointed out that the Kingsland inspector “Rageshh” had entered the wrong details for the vehicle (GVM) something to do with the vehicle weight and the brake machine” when the vehicle should have passed just fine. If you value your time. Don’t go to these guys. They just have no bloody idea.

Failed my WOF for having tint that was “illegal” and “needed to be removed”, when it was 100% legal tint. Took it to VTNZ new lynn a few weeks later, not having changed my tint, and passed immediately. Be wary of bad tint readers.

Very friendly service. Did a great job. I will be going back again for my next oil change. Didn't have to even get out of my car. Very good exesparience

Very rude and disrespectful way of treating who is new to the country. Instead of explaining and saying it well, the lady staff at licensing counter was rude and loud. Would never recommend anyone to this vtnz

Booking online accepted quickly. No prob for the wof and service. Awesome staff. Recommended.

This Testing Station is very busy once I got to the top of the line went through very quickly team very nice and helpful

Ladies at service desk are so chill whenever I go in, makes for a welcoming visit. Queues weren't too long, about 15mins to get to the front of my lane, took another approx 15-20mins to get warrant done (at about 3.45pm on a Friday), and got out promptly.

Went to the recheck lane during my lunch break thinking it would be a quick check as fails were minor, nope. Car in front was waiting 30min while other lanes were moving along nicely. Lady inside said the person was on "lunch break" not good, not happy. Decided to try somewhere else on another day. Wasted trip

Tried calling numerous times throughout the day for 3 days with not a single answer.
Finally decided to go in and I was met with a rude asian lady with no common manners.
I understand that the place may get busy, but what's the point of having a phone line if no is going to be answering it and it doesn't cost anything more to not be disrespectful.

Few of Inspectors are very lack of knowledge. Asked them before COF that shall I bring cargo net from home he said no need if you have. Once COF finished he failed it. In public holiday I need to sit home almost 5 days with out business. When I bring my cargo net they guys closed. Don’t know disgusting old man.

Slow staff who continue to chat with each other wasting time while there’s a huge line. Unbelievably rude. Never again!

I always find that this VTNZ has long wait times. Today the queue was blocking the street. I wanted to purchase a voucher and the only person working behind the counter was new and had no idea what to do.

I am trying to call to cancel a booking, can someone please answer the phone? I’ve called over 15 times, pretty ridiculous

I went for my wof, failed so I went and got all the repairs they asked for done. I didn't drive my car in-between going back to get my wof for the second time and they failed me again for things that were there the first time that didn't mention. It 100% felt like they just wanted more money from me for having to come back and resit a third time. And when I asked why the thinngs weren't on the list of repairs that needed to be done from the first fail the man was so patronizing and told me there was no way they wouldn't have been mentioned the first time i failed my wof but I showed him the list and he said they must have happened during the month that had passed which just wasn't true.

Hopeless services. I will never go there again.
I was standing in queue for half-hour in hot weather then I was on counter and she checked my P endorsement form and said go and get the copies of your documents. I went home and got the copies and reached there then she said you have to stand again in queue. I said I already.
She said no. Then I went to New lynn VTNZ and the staff didn't asked me any papers.she just asked me for driving license and she did it.endorsement

I have been to both the wof and driver’s licensing desks (these are on opposite sides of the building). The desk clerks are very friendly and helpful, as are the team carrying out the checks. Yes there is a queue and you will need to wait a bit, maybe 20 minutes, but they never stop moving and working; they are just that busy. Be patient and courteous and you’ll get excellent service in return

Second time that mechanics have been incredibly rude. Paid for a service and wound up having the branch closed on me with no communication of what to do next.

I visited this branch looking to renew my license.
Upon arriving i waited outside before being told by a rather rude and blunt employee that they would not be doing licensing that day and potentially not for the remainder of the week.
This was frustrating as there was no information on their website to notify people that they were not doing licensing. (I would have called the branch in advance to check with them, however on numerous occasions i have attempted to call this branch in the past but no one picked up)

Unbelievably lousy service. Staff were barking orders at myself and other customers and seemed to have listening problems as weren't taking time to listen to questions and didn't let me finish a sentence. Car failed WOF for a couple of reasons including an apparently broken front windscreen washer which was actually in perfect working order. (would hate them to get it wrong on a more important part of the car). I'd like to think the other VTNZs are better but I honestly don't know why you'd go to these guys over a mechanic.
