VTNZ reviews
85I had a Full Driving test yesterday and my officer was Leonard. He was an amazing Testing Officer, very polite and friendly and told me my improvements in polite way. Thank you officer.
Proffesional fast service. Thank you for taking extra time to explain everything to me.about the peraonalized plate tramsfer
Very long wait time
Thanks for your reply to my review but your operation at north shore is inefficient and need a customer service focus, AT THE COUNTER, where your customers are.
Positive experience while taking full driving license test here. The white lady Jillian conducts the test fairly and kindly. If your driving skill is good enough, you can definitely pass the test. The testing officers here are much better than those in Saturn Place.
I had the older lady when sitting my restricted license. She was very cold and got extremely annoyed if you didn't carry out her instructions perfectly. Her comments during the drive were constantly condescending and made me feel extremely uneasy. I had lots of confidence at the start but that was quickly crushed by her negative attitude and comments. Reading other reviews about her makes me feel vindicated. I do not recommend sitting your license test here.
Appallingly slow, appalling service, appalling knowledge. The COF team are the worst I’ve ever encountered. Failing due to a stone guard being 18mm to high (although wrongly claiming it was approx. 70mm as he didn’t know the rules properly). Rude and unreasonable. Lights were misaligned – rather than let me adjust them (5 sec job) he just fails it and says it needs adjustment. Had to re-book another day to get it sorted. I will not be going back, and advise others to find alternative COF/WOF testing stations.
Had my restricted license practical test at VTNZ North Shore today, passed on the first try! My testing officer Leonard gave clear instructions during the test, and provided thorough feedback on my performance at the end, as well as things to improve. I would definitely recommend getting your restricted license at this branch. Thanks Leonard and VTNZ staff:)
Great customer service by staff, there is easy access to the site, always a pleasure dealing with VTNZ. Keep it up.
There were four counters with one staff each assisting customers with only a single line.
A staff on one counter kept calling and assisting people on the back of the line. I let it slide.
When I was next, she then called another guy at the back and he again jumped straight to the front of the queue.
When I complained, she said she's only assisting people that are there for WOF. I'm like, well you didn't talk me. How did you know I'm not there for WOF? I'm not holding any application form whatsoever.
I said they should probably have a dedicated line for WOFs if that's the case because it's not a good look seeing people jumping on the queue. She just said, well there's no rule like that here.
I did my full licence driving test with Jillian today. She was very clear with the instructions. I failed before which she was the examiner and I learned from it. Thank you Jillian.
The driveway was on the wrong side of the road. It reminded me of a life long lost to time. European delights and atmospheric lighting a winter Christmas. There my beloved Christine help out for me as I was shipped off to war. Day in day out we wrote unbeknownst to us messages were never to arrive. All of this broken by intermittent horn testing smh
I'm not sure if its Covid related and staffing issues. But to be waiting in a queue for over four hours. Wasn't great.
Absolutely atrocious experience. Arrived at 7.45 before open and was busy. Took 2 hours to get to the front of queue. Then took over an hour to process my 1 car from there all while I had 2 very young kids with me that the staff had seen.
Staff need training. Long queues, waste of time and money. Inspectors claim defect - panel beaters charge $250 to say VTNZ are wrong and vehicle is in factory condition. Ask VTNZ for supporting evidence of fault and they can't back it up with factual proof, just an uneducated opinion.
If they were any slower they would be dead. The speed of processing in the recheck line is approx one car every 30 min. Staff are walking slowing about like zombies. Why would a qualified person work in a slack organisation like this? And they aren't, as verified by a staff member who said they are short staffed.
4 lanes. Truck, 2 car lanes, 1 recheck/trailer lane. So far 4 trucks and 5 cars in each of the car lanes have gone past while i am still stuck on the recheck lane with no cars being rechecked. So what is the point in having this lane when noone is working here? Its a shame there's no option for 0 stars.
Always such a massive que and wait time. Every other vtnz isn't this bad.more staff maybe? Or faster ones.
Sat my Restricted and it was a pleaseant experience
Having Archie as my testing instructor.
The wait is terrible. Apparently it takes 3 people to check 1 vehicle, while 2 other vehicles are just sitting in the testing bay. Half checked. There is no sense of urgency and I wasted about half a tank of gas just keeping the AC alive on a blazing hot day. Be prepared to wait at least half of your day, as someone who left said they waited 3 hours.bring your laptop along or even a sleeping bag as you may potentially go on a spontaneous camp.
Update: it's taken almost 3 hours in the queue. I'm now by the testing bay and all staff have seemed to dissappear. I've waited at the front for almost half an hour alone.
Update 2: bring a battery pack for your laptop and watch the whole LOTR trilogy in 1 go.
Not happy.
Been going here for wof for years.
All of a sudden today after 2 hours wait (not their fault). They tell me my tints that have been on car for 9 years and been passed many times by this place and others are too dark.
They were put on by professional tints place that made sure they were well legal.the windows were a bit dirty when tested.now they want me to rip my legal tints off and wait another 2 hours to get a re check.the guy wouldn't even listen and didn't seem to understand English very well.im discussed as these tints are legal by nz law standards and passed every wof for 10 years
