Waste of time, money and very poor service. Not going there again in my Life and not recommending to anyone in Nz

I went to vtnz botany to get certificate of fitness for my car. They have failed my vehicle and ask me to have a luggage hook like the one in photo. I normally go to vtnz sylvia park. I had few cofs done with them for my car. But they never ask me this kind hook. But this time i went to the botany branch due to busyness at work. I looked the hook in bunnigs, mitre 10, super cheap and repco. But i couldn't find it.after that i went to inspector (jae) and manager (Lance) about this matter and they don't even know where to buy this. The manager straight away told me that he dont know where to buy this. But he wanted this in my car which is kind of funny as i dont think you can buy it here in nz. So now i can't get my cof done because i don't know where to buy this hook. The other funny part is i already had few cofs from sylvia park vtnz without this hook for last few years. (the last image is my last cof from vtnz sylvia park) when i told this they asking me to go to sylvia park vtnz and do with them. But they have already put this in to their system and surely they dont want to refund my money to do cof again in vtnz sylvia park

Shame on you Vtnz botany, Very poor customer service and very poor staff

Please be aware they will fail your car passing for no reason.please avoid as much as you can. Please worst ever place.

A long long wait, it's seems everyone wants wof crikey, staff were good, and working hard to cope with everyone, plus poor office lady dealing with a couple of fone calls wanting driving licenses ha ha was polite and happy repeating herself over and over again, we don't do them go to AA or look them up on the net. Ha ha Then my little car didn't pass

Great service, really quick. I usually go to one of the busier places, but now I have been here this is going to be my regular! Thanks guys

This is not the first time VTNZ have got it wrong for me, costing me time, money and frustration on what should be a simple wof.

I was told I had too many indicators on FACTORY fitted indicators that had ALWAYS passed. I took it to my mechanic, he disconnected, even though he disagreed. I took it back. VTNZ had it wrong in terms of the zones. There's three zones for indicators, front, back and sides. Not just front and back.

I was then told I was "lucky" it passed second round on the breaking I had JUST fixed. I phoned the mechanic immediately. He said they should know if it has just been fixed and driven in wet weather for a short period and it was "uneven" it wont give good results. He explained to me their duplicate and perfect tests.

VTNZ need to train their staff. I only used VTNZ because it was "more convenient". They are NOT and cost me more on a wof that should have been simple.

Staff are great. Only issue is the queues which were terrible. Was a week after the floods so could have been due to that

Went there to get a certificate of fitness, waiting from 7am to make sure I’ll get it done, once the open the shop i was told the person that does the service wasn’t there that day, waste of time.

This might be the slowest VTNZ in NZ. There was 4 cars in front of me in the line, waited 2.5 hours.

Not even worth one star, don't answer phones etc, closes at 5, so at 3.45 the queue is closed for the day, may as well close the whole business, just tatking up valuable space.

These guys charge $78 for a WOF! Way too expensive considering they only check your vehicle. I had to wait in line for 3 hours for my 20 min WOF. When I failed my WOF, they just told me what was wrong, didn't offer any advice on how to fix the issues. Would have thought for $78 they'd at least give you some advice. Then second time I got there at 8: 00am to try beat the crowds. Still had to wait 2 hours to be seen.

Will never come here again as it an insane waste of time and money. Would much rather support a local mechanic who will provide a better service for better value.

Waited over an hour and a half for warrant. Thought I came at a quiet time as it was 2pm on a week day. Think you need more staff. Staff also spent a lot of time moving cars from a car yard that had no drivers

Recently I went for a WOF recheck on the vehicle I owned which was going through a dispute. VTNZ Botany did a thorough check on the vehicle in accordance to the WOF checklist, following their check they clearly showed us what was wrong and other identified areas of concern. Thanks for your professionalism and service VTNZ.

Great services with resourceful staff that valued clients needs and expectations. Out of 10 being the best I will give them 10points. Well done and continue the splendid remarkable services.

No good very bad service second time in and very bad customer service right from the counter to service staff except for one staff who was polite and courteous would have not given a star of it was not bobby

Was no queue when I went which was nice. I had no problem with the WoF but I wasn't very happy with the way the tech got in my car and then FLOORED it into the garage, then slammed on the brakes to stop. And then when pulling it out of the garage they FLOORED it again and then slammed on the brakes.

My car wasnt the only one they did this with while I was there. Ive been to several other VTNZs before which have never done that.

So yeah, would rather they drove the cars in a bit more smoothly and safely. Especially when the customer is able to watch everything they do.

I went first time there the ladies on the reception was helpful but the who work in the weekend on the reception was useless

Fast service despite the queue. Friendly mechanic Bobby was able to accommodate my wiper replacement despite being busy. Thank you.

You have to wait in your car til you get to the front of the line. I went at 2pm and was 5th in line. Average 20mins per car, I waited an hour in my car in the scorching hot 28° afternoon. The price went up substantially, now costing $72 for a warrant check. I was shocked by the cost and having to sit in the heat for that long, BUT.the service from staff was GREAT, very FRIENDLY AND POLITE. So it was a 50/50 visit for me.

First time getting my WOF here, pulled straight in and staff were great. Very friendly and helpful both office staff and workshop staff. Would gladly go back again next time. Thanks guys
