Had a wonderful time at this spacious and comfortable place. We loved the separate little "cabin" which was ideal for us grandparents! The location is close to Onerea, but also good for the coat path. The garden is lovely and there are a couple of good outside seating areas.

We recently spent time on Waiheke, celebrating my sister's 70th and I have nothing but appreciation and praise for the experience of renting through Waiheke Holiday Homes. Enquiries prior to the trip were dealt with swiftly, our interaction with Lenka (our rental property manager) was also immediate, and repayment of our security deposit occurred 4 days after we left. The information we received prior to our trip was comprehensive and the property itself was well-maintained. All of the above make it highly likely that we will use Waiheke Holiday Homes for our next trip to the motu!

We were very impressed with the house and its location was perfect for us.

The house was immaculately presented and well furnished with comfortable beds and sofas, and we especially enjoyed the log fire burner which we lit on 2 nights of our stay.

It was very easy to deal with you and your team. Communication was always excellent and prompt, both by phone and email. The instructions for access were accurate and hassle-free.

Many thanks again for making our stay so lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was a great place to stay for our family. Our adult kids and their partners and us really enjoyed the house. The three double rooms were perfect and we really liked the location to explore Waiheke.

We had an awesome stay at Sea Shell by the Beach. It was a real staycation due to the storm and the house didn’t let us down. It does have everything we needed. Very close to supermarket. Walking distance to the beach. And we just love the view of beach and trees from the lounge and balcony. Super relaxing

Suggestion for improvement:
The access to the beach is a bit bushy, would be nice if grass and some plants could be trimmed.
Would also be great to install an exhaust fan in the kitchen.

Thank you to Waiheke Holiday Homes. We had a phenomenal time at the Moa Beach House. It was absolutely brilliant. It exceeded all our expectations. What an amazing property and a wonderful island.

We recently booked a property advertised as "Brand New and stylish home, oh so close to Oneroa Village! "

Waiheke Holiday Homes were extremely responsive during the booking phase but almost impossible to contact once we arrived at the property.

Waiheke Holiday Homes advertisement for the property was false and misleading and they were not prepared to provide any compensation or discount when we were finally able to get hold of them during our stay.

The property was not "Brand New" in fact it is a least 2
years old judging by the wear of a full time residence that it is. It was not advertised as some ones residence but it was very obvious on our arrival. The owners food and frozen goods were throughout the fridge and pantry, their alcohol in cupboards. The bathroom cabinets had makeup and shampoo in the shower. Kids toys in various rooms of the house. An office alcove complete with the owners laptop and files. There was pair of children's under pants in the washing machine.

The property was presented generally tidy but the amenities were anything but, the oven was greasy, filthy dirty as was the BBQ. (see attached pictures)

The cutlery draw contained the owners used syringes for administering medicine in with the knives and forks (see attached picture)

We attempted to contact the property manager with no response we then attempted the direct office contact for Waiheke Holiday Homes, again no response for the first 24hrs. When we finally got an email response from Waiheke Holiday Homes it was a brush off with platitudes as excuses and no attempt to understand our concerns. One of our party suffered bad insect bites overnight (either bed bug or fleas in the opinion of the local pharmacist) and again we were given an excuse and brush off response via email from Waiheke Holiday Homes. We persisted and managed to reluctantly get the linen in that room changed, although we ended up not using that room again.

IF BOOKING WITH WAIHEKE HOLIDAY HOMES DO SO WITH CAUTION AS THEIR ADVERTISING IS FALSE AND MISLEADING AND ONCE YOU HAVE BOOKED AND PAID YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!

In response to your comments:

Your Point 1: The owner may have finished building or renovating in the last 12 months does not make the property new and as our photos show its far from new.

Your Point 2: Your property manager did not respond until after we had escalated issues with yourselves. So as a booking agent you are claiming all care but no responsibility, even when your website promoting the property is miss leading and falsely represents the property.

Your Point 3: Your offer for a specialist to visit also came with an additional fee. Yes the linen was replaced which uncovered the mattress protector which was covered in dog hairs, I'm happy to add photos if you want. As stated in my review the bites were professionally assessed by the pharmacist and in their opinion were caused by either a flea or bed bug.

Your Point 4: I'm please for those other guests

Your Points 5 & 6: While Syringes maybe common place in people homes they are not common in the cutlery draws of holiday homes. They are not comparable in anyway to tea spoon. The underwear demonstrates that the property wasn't properly cleaned nor inspected before our arrival.

Your Point 7: The property wasn't advertised as a private residence, had it been we would never of booked it!

Your Point 8: Comparing you business to government offices is a joke. You are offering short term managed accommodation and to suggest a 15 working day turn around to correspondence is pathetic. Neither your office or your property managers telephone were answered so we were forced to rely on email. An offer to clean the BBQ and Oven is something but to actually take the initiative and have them cleaned would have been a more appropriate response to addressing the issues.

I hope my comments help put your responses in perspective and my review remains unchanged.

We have stayed at Palm Beach Spa Magic twice and we will definitely return. It’s the perfect spot for us as a slightly extended adult family as there are three bedrooms, two separate toilets and two deck areas. Plenty of room for keeping out of each other’s hair as well as enjoying time together!
Good internet access, well equipped kitchen, very tidy and the spa is a bonus!
It’s only a ten minute walk to beautiful Palm Beach and the views from upstairs are incredible.
A peaceful calm spot for a break.
I should also mention how friendly the owners are in all contact.

We stayed at the Calypso - Pool accommodation. It was a weekend getaway for a group of friends who have not seen each other since pre-covid. The pictures dont do any justice! Everything we needed was in the home. Liasing with the team prior and after departure was easy and very efficient. Everything we planned to do was cancelled once we saw the place - we never wanted to leave! The spa, the pool, the beautiful spacious rooms, the privacy and views - worth every penny. We even made a trip down to the beach which was not hard at all. Thank you so much for having us and making our trip a memorable one.

We loved our stay at beachfront bliss. The girls at Waiheke holiday homes couldnt have been more helpful. What a spot! House was perfect for us & was spotless. We will be back! Thanks.

I would like to say how disappointed I am with the waiheke holiday homes team. We booked a lovely house in Onetangi for 3 nights. Unfortunately after the first night my partner and I were covered in flea/bed bug bites. The second night my partner resorted to sleeping on the couch and I got bitten further. We bought this to the attention of the manager of the property and I emailed waiheke holiday homes with pictures of the bites. We received a response saying that it would’ve been sea lice. This was ironic in the sense that we had not been swimming the whole time we were there and weeks prior to this. It can also be noted that I’m a Registered Nurse and work in dermatology. We spent $100 on a “linen” cost and $100 on a cleaning fee. It is a shame that we received no further communications and no compensation for our bad experience. The house was great otherwise but this left a sour taste in our mouths.

Yes we did email with pictures after the first night but did not get a response. I then text the property manager after waiting for a reply. We used 2 cans of insect repellent before we went to sleep and slept with all the windows closed. Which made for a very hot and uncomfortable sleep. The fact of the matter Is that all these things are useless if what you are getting bitten by is not a mosquito. Again, it’s a shame you fail to recognise that we were bitten by fleas or bed bugs. I would encourage you to sleep in the bed we slept in and let us know how you go.

Had an amazing stay! The team at Waiheke Holiday homes was awesome and went above and beyond to help us is. Can’t wait to stay again, look forward to trying a different house next time!

We had a fantastic weekend. House had everything we needed, very handy to Oneroa village and beaches. Plenty of room, comfortable beds and awesome backyard.

Your review: Perfect views and perfect location. House exceeded expectations, everything you need is there. Loved the wee front deck, was lovely to sit out at night and watch a full moon rise over the bay. Beach literally 2 min walk away, as was bus stop. Will definitely book again.

We just LOVED this house. You guys at Waiheke Holiday Homes are just amazing. We couldn't have asked for better service and the house we chose this time was spotlessly clean and well maintained and the location in Oneroa was perfect for our group. We had an amazing time. The place was really good. It was nice and modern and really clean and had everything we could imagine we needed. The ladies at waiheke holiday homes couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The photos on their website showed the house exactly as we found it. Honestly we couldn't be happier and we'll absolutely be booking with them again.

Fabulous spot. Spent a lot of time sitting on the deck and watching the world pass by. Anakiwa is perfect for a holiday-well equipped, comfortable beds, nice powerful shower, great fridge/freezer, TV, chromecast and stereo setup. The BBQ looked good but we didn't use it. Minor fault was Aircon stopped working on day 1. Contacted manager who dealt with the problem within a few hours but was unable to get a technician till the day before we left (long weekend problem). Would have been nice to have on in the evenings but during the day there was a good airflow through the house. Made good use of local restaurants and vineyards. Will definately consider this spot highly for our next holiday on Waiheke. Good email contact with Waiheke Holiday homes when booking.

Perfect place to spend the summer break. We were here in a large group for a week and the house was perfect. Close to shops & beach meant no major travel costs. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back to stay!
