Today I found out my beautiful niece resigned from her employment with Watershed Management as a cleaner at Kingsford Primary. In June 2019 Catherine was admitted to hospital with a suspected stroke. She was placed on medical leave for a week. On returning to work on July 1st her manager Elvis Wiri accused her of lying about being sick. He stated she was seen at the school daily by Catherine Brown, senior property manager for Watershed as well as the caretaker. My niece refuted this accusation saying she did go in on Friday morning for 20 minutes to watch her nieces prize giving. To which Elvis replied if your well enough to shower your well enough to work, you didn’t need to lie.

My niece is normally a very happy individual always looking to the positive in everything. She was so disheartened by what she was hearing that she told Elvis she would resign effective immediately. When Catherine started this position she was given 2 t.shirts she later paid for 3 more @ $34 each. Elvis told her she needed to return all the shirts.

I am positively disgusted with how this issue was managed, it is clear Catherine was being bullied and spoken down to. What right did Elvis have to so readily trample on her self esteem, integrity and mana. Catherine has been treated as a lowly employee, bullied and falsely accused. Shame on Watershed Management for not hiring managers that actually know how to manage in a mana enhancing way.

I spoke with my niece tonight and told her she was not to return the tops as she had paid for 3 of them. The 2 that were given will also be kept, what exactly was Elvis planning on doing with used t.shirts? This has to violate some kind of health and safety standards. I am thankful my girl was strong enough to hold her head high and walk. However I will not allow this person to persecute her anymore. I will be sharing this on Facebook I am that mad.
