I have had good experience with the Weiss FV160 bathroom extractor product in the past but these are my issues.

1. The specs are very inconsistent. The website says 3yr warranty yet the retail box says 5 but with no other documentation etc.

2. The retail box mentions a 7w LED yet they are putting 5w ones in. Yes, some people do notice when you short-change consumers

3. There 2 or 3 further models of the FV160 yet no information exists on the Weiss website. There are more efficient models, also under FV160 and can only be found through bathroom retailers such as Elite. Not available at Mitre 10 etc. In my opinion the company website should show these "better" options?

4. I messaged my concerns some time ago but no one has replied to give me an explanation- so now I feel compelled to put it out there for others.

I will change this review if they resolve my issue.
We have been loyal users of these products for 20 years. Upon moving house, we promptly replaced the two bathroom fans with the intelli fans (automatic) having loved them in our previous home. First one wouldn't work properly, had the electrician back to check it, was told likely faulty sensor. Returned for refund. Installed second one in same bathroom. Same issue again. The fan works intermittently. Contacted Weiss via the online submission form with full details - believing they would correct this, we wondered if there was a bad batch of fans. They never responded.
Contacted them again via feedback form (2 and a half weeks later). Got a response to say they would get back to us shortly. That was last Wednesday, its now Tuesday and still nothing. In the mean time we have no bathroom fan and incurred additional costs of mucking around with these.
We are guttered - mostly with the customer service.

To anyone considering a bathroom extraction fan or home ventilation kit look no further than the Weiss product. I have been dealing with Steve and his team since I started my business over 15 years ago. The product is really great quality and the pricing right. But even more important is the back up service and when you need help/advice or on the unlikely event you have a fault - no questions asked and the problem is rectified with in a small time frame. Congrats to the Weiss team!

Purchased a 3 outlet Heat Transfer system and it works exceptionally well in our Rental property - bathroom and bedrooms a lot drier now with less condensation.
Tenants happy and they will be happy this Winter

Been renovating our new home and added a Weiss 3 room heat transfer unit, great product, easy to install.the warm air from our fireplace now heats the bedrooms a very cost efficient way of keeping our home warm and healthy too. I highly recommend the Weiss transfer unit, another great improved product from this company.

Just installed a Weiss extraction fan, for our bathroom, works like a dream, far better than the other brand we had and I love the new tech that makes it work without us having to turn it on and off all the time, very smart thinking, I suppose that’s what you get when you have products designed by kiwis for NZ conditions

Their home ventilation system works great. Happy with the airflow in the house and the installers were courteous and friendly. Highly recommended.

I had a very damp downstairs bathroom, largely due to the small 100mm through-wall extractor fan with exterior auto-shutters that was hopeless at extracting steam and moisture. The bathroom was always wet. Black mould would quickly grow back, even though I would wipe it off with white vinegar. The paint was even peeling.
I had the fan replaced with a Weiss 150mm through-wall fan with an external cowl. Extraction of moisture is now so much better. The cowl (as opposed to auto-shutters) means the bathroom “breathes” fresh outside air, even when the fan isn’t on. As a bonus, it lets in more light, so the bathroom is brighter. Results: a drier (and healthier) bathroom. Should have done this ages ago!

Bought a wall mounted fan heater FH24SS couple of months ago. Awesome look and feel. Works really well.

We've had a Weiss heater installed in our hallway for the past 2 winters and thought it would be worth sharing how good these things actually are! The difference the SM2400 makes to our comfort in the colder months is incredible. And it's great to have something on the wall that looks the part too:)

Terrible just pushes cold air as low as 5c in winter turning this place into a fridge and no way to turn the unit off, I heard this is illegal
