Thoroughly recommend Westend Painters. Professional, quick, tidy, and pleasant to have around the house. It is difficult painting in the winter having to juggle fine spells but painting was done with very little hassle and inconvenience. Good value for money.

Lee at Westend Painters is very professional and great to do business with. The team did an immaculate job, and ensured we were 100% happy with the job before finishing. Always on time and communicated with us around any changes that were needed. We have booked them to come back and do more work inside the house in the winter.

On time, to budget, and great quality, Lee and Prince and his team did an excellent job. From turning up when he said he would for a quote, turning that around super quickly, getting the work done on time and managing my expectations throughout on a bitsy job I couldn’t be happier. They have great technical knowledge and for the first time in my experience took me around to check I was happy with the quality before saying they had finished.and.no price gouging. We were left with a hideous two tone house after previous dealings with dodgy tradies. We hired Lee and his team to repaint the house. Lee made very astute colour decisions for the type of house with great colour recommendations. We finally have a beautiful home and the colours are amazing. The house looks so much better, brighter and bigger. The finish is amazing and is so professionally done. Highly recommend.

Lee and his team recently painted the exterior of our Ponsonby Villa.
From our first meeting with Lee we appreciated his knowledge, advise and professionalism.
We needed reassurance with our colour Selection so he introduced us to the local Resene colour consultant. The colors she recommended totally delivered on our brief.
The house had some lead paint and Lee worked with an expert on dealing with this and again the result was great.
Lee had some challenging weather to work around but he communicated well with us and made every effort to get the job completed as quickly as possible.
The finished result is fantastic and we would not hesitate to recommend Westend Painters or use them again in the future.

Lee and his team are very professionals painters who cares about quality and details. They painted our living room, corridors and master bedroom and the result is beyond expectation. Plus, we really appreciated their expertise in color choices that creates a warm interior where all the family feel good to spend time. Right from the start Lee was very professional and helpful. Jobs were started promptly and completed within timeframes. Lee also had the Resene consultant call out to give me additional confidence in their products. Very happy with the end result of both the exterior and interior paint jobs.

We used Lee to take back the windows of our bungalow to bare wood and then repaint them. The effort and attention to detail given to the job was fantastic, so much so that we then had him repaint one entire side of our house. Unfortunately I felt very let down by these guys.
The job was not finished and I was left with a shocking mess to clean up with empty paint tins, lead paint flakes all through the garden and paths, paint drips on the brick work and other areas plus all the other rubbish to remove (old drop sheets, sand paper, rags and solvent in tins).
I think the issue developed because they took on another much bigger job after starting mine so when there was a nice sunny day ideal for painting there was no one working on my house (off working on the bigger job), on the days when the weather was inclement they would spend a two or three hours on my house then head home because of a rain shower. So after putting up with this for 4 months (original estimate was 3 weeks to complete) we didn't see or hear from them for seven weeks by which time it was the middle of winter. Sorry but the idea of having windows open waiting to dry in the middle of winter was not very appealing so we have a house that has the paint partially stripped, partially painted and waiting for warmer weather so I can get started and complete the job.
In case you are wondering all Westend Painters invoices were paid on time and in full! Do I feel like I had value for money for the work done? No!

Dear Lee

After 30 years in this beautiful old house I decided to put it on the market. I was aware that some of the paintwork, especially on the windows, had deteriorated since the house’s last paint, and I wished to bring it up to presentable, marketable standard.

You were one of three painters to quote for the original brief. I appreciated your willingness to listen to my wishes, and to modify the quotes THREE times as I worked through what my budget would allow, and what were the most important areas to attend to.

The start date was brought forward at very little notice, to accommodate the marketing plan, and the project was completed in a timely manner. Extra jobs became apparent, and these were also fitted in within the time-frame.

I found the painters cheerful and willing to attend to small incidentals along with the main work. Sanding dust was kept to a minimum, and the place left tidy at the end of each day. Colour-matching to existing colours was done skilfully. Some structural repairs and rust treatments were also carried out.

My real estate agent was most impressed with the appearance of the house, and this has given me confidence to proceed ahead of schedule.

Thank you for a job well-done. I would have no hesitation in recommending Westend Painters.
