Needed a new HID D2S headlight bulb for my sons Mini Cooper. Tricky things to replace. Ended up having to take the car to Western Auto Electrical to sort it out. They managed to have a quick look and sort it out straight away. Thanks much appreciated, Western Auto Electrical.

Love this place, they've always looked after us and got the job right the very first time.

I was recommended Western Auto Electrical by my mechanic as well as the community Facebook page and I am happy I took the recommendation. I sent Julien some images of a broken ignition so he could provide rough pricing to get the car up and running again. Julien gave some fantastic advice and actually said it was something we could fix ourselves if we could source the part. He was correct and we were able to fix ourselves. This saved us a decent amount of money and a bigger headache. We haven't actually used the service in this case but if we do need auto electrical work done in the future, I will be sure to bring it to Western Auto Electrical based on this experience.

If I could give a no star I would. Book car in for an alarm. All good. Drop car off to be told. $900 + to install and that they are not very good at alarms. Oh and sick staff. Worst service. Do not recommend! And ur reply is a load of rubbish. We got a mobile alarm person to do for $500 and came with alot more options. Your service is a joke. And will be letting MTA know of the rip off and unprofessional service we received

The dumbest mechanic I have ever seen. I went to replace my damaged side mirror handle from a new mirror. I have dismantled the damaged one by myself and explained the receptionist man that as I don't have equipment to open the 16 pin socket, I need your help. It was just to take off the cover, undo 3 screws, remove the socket and fit it on the damaged one. He accepted the work.
During receiving the mirror, I have been charged with 3 hours of work ($399). When I asked where they spend 3 hours, the mechanics tried to explain that he had to open the mirror piece by piece (?) and that took him 3 hrs (!). Why a trained mechanics needed to open the mirror, piece by piece, when a non professional person can open it with out opening the full mirror (as I did with the damaged one) has no answer.
Please be careful with this guy, they can rip you off.

Julian and his team are amazing. They got our Sprinter back on the road after having to replace the ABS speed sensors. The minibus now runs without any problems and thanks to these wonderful guys!

As usual very safe and convenient place to shop, depends upon what time of the day you are in.

Came in for a new battery after the old one started to get too tired over winter.

Was served immediately and a proper check in voltages before and after staying the car was done to make sure it wasn't the alternator.

Battery was in stock and fitted immediately, wife's car up and running again in record time for a fair price and a 3 year warranty on the new battery.

I'd definitely go here again.

My partner and I took my car to get it seen by these guys as it was having trouble starting at times and because the idle speed seemed off when idling. After a bill of over $240 - the guy wasn’t reassuring as to what the problem was or could be. He mentioned that the idle speed motor could be the problem because it was faulty and that it would need replacing - the part being around $600 and labor approx 1.5 hours.

Took it elsewhere for a second opinion as I wasn’t convinced - they found that the throttles just needed a clean, my car is working just fine now and I was charged a small fraction of the price these guys quoted.
Turns out the “idle speed motor”
didn’t actually need replacing.

Can't replicate the problem but willing to keep trying!

It’s a fact that if you get bad service you tell more than 10 people but if you get good service you tell less than 5 people. BUT I will be telling more than 10 people of the exemplary service I recently received from the owner Julian and his entire staff at WESTERN AUTO ELECTRICAL. They are 5 STAR SERVICE.
My Custom Built McGregor K24A Honda SR7 is garaged in Henderson with my daughter and husband as I live in Japan. I have been unable to return for nine months to drive my new car due to Covid until two weeks ago. Upon arriving the battery was flat and I went the WESTERN AUTO ELECTRICAL and Justin and his team found the OPTIMA Battery was faulty and could not be re-charged. Justin not only explained my situation which they ignored and they said it was my fault leaving the car so long without driving…Justin then gave me a great discount and showed what excellent service he provides. I will of course be talking to OPTIMA about their warranty or lack of in New Zealand.
I will of course fully recommend JUSTIN and his team for quality service that we expect and they deliver this and go that little extra.well done team.

Service was quick, efficient and the staff were friendly. Pleased I took my car there for an air condition refill. They fixed a couple of leaks and topped it up. Now I can drive with my windows up on these hot summer days. Highly recommended.
