Wharf Street Bistro / Bam Boo - Asian Canteen

The service and atmosphere are just fine. Then food was terrible. My wife had the Duck with pancakes and vegetables, minimal amount of duck, the veges were dry had not been refrigerated, the pancakes were basically tortillas and a bit hard. I had the Korean chicken. The sauce was OK not really spicy as claimed and the chicken tasted old and overly fried. Would not recommend and will not return.

Food was great but service was terrible. I had to go up to the group of waiters standing at the bar to as for someone to take our order of drinks and food. I had to do this 3 times no one came to check everything ok if we needed water, more drinks, more food nothing such a pity as food really good, maybe next time I'll just grab it as a take away

Bam Boo Canteen is a must-visit spot for a celebration of Asian cuisine! The inviting ambiance, friendly staff, and flavorful Murgh Makhani (Butter Chicken) left me impressed. Generous portions and a delightful menu make it a hidden culinary gem. Highly recommended

We were on a limited time frame as going to theatre afterwards-. Greeted by waiter / seated promptly / dishes explained/ orders taken - quick delivery to table and food was great - recommend the duck pancakes and the sushi plate as great selection on plate.

Very enjoyable place to eat. Defiantly best to book. We arrived at 5.30 and were very lucky to get a table. Found it a bit pricey, and some small portions. But the quality of the food was outstanding. The service was excellent. And the staff were very helpful and super friendly.

We got there just before closing street lunch. Decent food considering they aren't Asian. Tasty noodles. Friendly service.

Me and my friends enjoyed our (Filipino) food sizzling adobo and we also tried the King Prawns curry which is amazing by the way. Service is superb! Able to have a chat with the Pinoy chef. We also love the manager who have a great sense of humour and super cool! Will definitely be back for more! Don't forget to try their desserts! NAPAKASASARAP!

Ordered everything vegetarian and the food hit the spot. The vegetarian roll was insanely good and was so hard to top but the noodles and the wasabi dessert definitely did. Service was. Charlene was our host and she made sure we had the best time!

I would give it a 6 if I could, the Maitre’D was friendly, patient and very accommodating with our fussiest eaters. Meals were a great size and the pink lemonade was choice.

Had a great night here with a few friends, staff were amazing. Jade had a few laughs with us and the rest of the staff were welcoming and friendly. Definitely will be recommending, the food was great and the drinks are amazing!
