I'm sure others have had more positive experiences but it was a shame that I found some timber online and came to purchase anc collect and it is apparently inaccessible behind other timber - they said I would need to wait a few days to be able to access it so I needed to go elsewhere

Superb all-round customer service. Prompt communication to an online enquiry, offered a couple of options and even help loading the 4WD.

Called them this morning to see if they had some specific timbre (that is not widely available) in stock which they said they did and quoted the price. When I went to pick it up, although it was open with a big sign on Great South Road with various utes and vans there, I was told the yard was closed due to COVID and I could not pick anything up, only get it delivered. I was also directed to a big hand painted sign in the yard stating this, obviously useful only once you arrive there. Given I called before hand and was not told this it was very frustrating having driven some way. There are businesses all over Auckland, NZ, and the world doing there best to stay open, stay afloat, and provide for their families at this time, so its a little unusual to find a company not wanting to be doing business. However it is their choice, and we all have choice, but better communication would go along way.

Came in to get a few planks to fix the fence, guy at the counter was very helpful and chill and even put up with the fact my friends and I couldn't start a chainsaw to cut the wood. Cheers.

I had a good experience at Woodmart. Needed a piece of plywood and they were happy to accommodate me.

Kinda disappointed, went there and they ended up giving two different grades one of 50mmx200mm 6m lengths, one was SG06, the other was SG10. Am building my workbench and those two lengths while they appeared the same have a slight height difference by a couple mil, enough to make the bench not flush. The quality of one length of 100x50 was pretty subpar with lots of holes and knots, not up to grade to framing. It's a lesson for me, but got to be sure to closely inspect each piece.

Great to deal with and hassle free. Wood all delivered the next day after payment. Will use again in the future.

I broke a shelf in my garage and wanted to fix it myself. I had no idea what I needed so I took the broken plank to these guys and they sorted me out (less than 5$!), and wrote down a diy website. Took me half an hour to fix, would have cost me god knows how much to get a chippie in.
