Wonderful breakfast. They have the option of two portion sizes (small and large). Had the Eggs Benedict which uses a mini bagel instead of an English Muffin. The Queen Mother will be rolling. But all kidding aside, the food was delicious and the service warm and friendly.

This place is a gem! We often visit for our Saturday brunch, while the food wasn't it's usual perfection this time, the service and the atmosphere is always wonderful! Highly recommend this place.

The meals here are sensational. Everything is made on the premises using only the freshest local ingredients. The barista made coffee is also excellent. The Med (as it is fondly known) has maintained consistently high standards over many years. There is nowhere else I would rather go for delicious food during the day in Tauranga.

The Med is a great place to have a good coffee, it has a great atmosphere and buzz, it was busy!
Sat in the sun outside and has a lovely lunch.
The service was quick and the food was good (reasonably priced)
We will go back again

These guys are awesome. Went out of their way to change their dish for my allergies. Best cafe in Tauranga by a mile.

We were looking for a nice spot to have brunch and this place didnt disappoint, food was lovely, however, this regular lady (Niki) was super rude.
We were sitting in the middle of table for 2s and niki walks in and she sat right next to me without even acknowledging us making us move to the table next to it!
We probably never go back there although the food was great just not to meet lowclass entitled people like NIKI.

We were looking for a cafe with some vegan / dairy free alternatives and came across The Med! I followed a review saying the vegan pancakes were good, and I’m so glad I did.those pancakes were the BEST i’ve had in awhile! The staff was super friendly and on top of helping us out.plus the coffee was great.i highly recommend!

Very long wait, rude and argumentative staff, attempted to overcharge us on multiple items. Food was decent enough when it eventually arrived but would definitely not return again. Only gets the 2nd star due to the quality of the eggs Benedict once they arrived after almost an hour for the final dish since ordering

The worst experience I’ve had in a long time. I ordered an eggs benedict 20 minutes before half my table and before the table beside us arrived they were all served atleast 10 minutes before me. When they brought out my food my egg was runny after asking 3 times for it to be well done. When I sent it back the waitress instead of apologising argued about it. Very rude staff and ridiculous wait time. When I finally got the food it was nice but definitely not worth going through all that just for a simple breakfast.

Haven't been to Med for a while, but the breakfast was fantastic and good size portions are important to me, so they did great there.

Best coffee we have had in NZ! Visiting from Melbourne and we are real picky about our caffeine!

Really nice cuppa tea - quality, loose leaf. And a delicious chicken salad - the small serve was very generous, and more than enough!

Great coffee and Great breakfast. You get a really good amount of food on your plate. More than I expected and I've been to a lot of cafes for breakfast.

The Med is one of Tauranga’s very best cafes. The staff and service is exceptional, and the food is always great. Also makes really good smoothies, hot chocolates and coffee. Definitely don’t give this place a miss!

Popped in here last week for lunch. Very attentive staff with pleasant greetings good service and helped us with menu options for gluten-free. The food was absolutely lovely and the coffee fantastic. We can confidently recommend this Cafe to anybody visiting the area

Took a good client/supplier for breakfast today - absurdly amazing value and quality. Staff very friendly as usual - keep up the good work. Will be back in a hurry!

One of the best cafes in Tauranga! I’ve been wanting to visit for weeks and finally got the chance today. Immediately the staff were so friendly and welcoming from the moment we entered! Service was very quick and staff were all lovely.
The food was beyond expectation and came out quickly despite how busy it was. Portion sizes were plentiful and the quality of food and beverages was top tier.
If you ever get a chance you need to go here! Prices are fair and worth what you pay for. Very happy customer will be back again soon… recommend the Whittaker hot choc was delicious:)

Place seems very tired.
Food tasteless and browning lettuce in sandwich. Selection poor. Used to be an icon but not now.
