13 Great place to walk myself dogs
Beware sheep and cattle behind a 7 wire fence
My dogs are proofed against chasing but would be traumatic to see a farmer destroy a pet not being controlled
The walk is beside the Wairoa river, a chance for your dog to have a swim or a paddle
Not a round trip type of walk, more a walk to the end and turnaround
Is under development so with a bit of luck it will become even longer
One of the best off leash dog friendly parks in Tauranga. Plenty of space for the dogs to run about and swim. For the most part it's fully enclosed via farm fencing. There's the odd livestock in the paddocks over the fence. Would recommend.
It is a park not far from Tauranga. It is ideal for taking dogs to roam free. I understand that on Sundays several owners get together with their dogs to live together. They are happy getting into the river to swim. The place is very beautiful. Without a doubt, we will return.
Great place for dogs to run off the leash and enjoy themselves! A few spots for dogs to have a swim in the water too. Overall good family spot for outing with your doggie:)
Great area to let the doggy run free. Peaceful and relaxing. Has picnic table and seating.
Great place for the dog to run off leash. Great to see Tauranga City Council visiting and collecting feedback. Thanks for the support in keeping this park friendly and fun.
Nice secluded area to enjoy for all. The river is beautiful and the walking tracks are well set up.
Great place to take your dogs for a blast, recent improvements like the steps into the water make it that much nicer.
This an awesome but underrated and unknown reserve.
Right alongside the Wairoa River, secluded, quiet. Nice walks alongside the river.
All it really needs now is a toilet block.
Great place to walk your dog off the leash and a few spots for them to run into the river and have a swim or make a splash.
Tranquil bucolic reserve next to the river. Great for dog walking. More work is anticipated to extend and improve the Northern end of the walk toward the Wairoa bridge. No restrooms.
Seems to be a nice reserve beside a river with connection to walkways suitable for a nice stroll with your dog
Not much going on here, but it seems to be a hot spot for dog walking. There is steps that go down to the Wairoa river if you want a quick dip.
