The hospitality was fantastic and food was at such high standard with such amazing favors, Highly recommend. It was 5 stars all round.

We had a fantastic evening at the White House last night. First time I’ve been. Beautiful restaurant. The food was incredible. The service was brilliant - despite us taking a while to order and being a little complicated.
The place is accessible for wheelchairs which we were very thankful for.
Thanks White House team. Would highly recommend.

Great food and service - not much of a wait considering how busy it was. The Banofee Pie was probably one of the best desserts I've ever had! Definitely be back.

We have dined at the White House many times and it never disappoints. With a great atmosphere, wonderful hosts and absolutely fantastic food.
I personally love trying the cocktail list out and last night my selection was a Margarita or three, with strong punchy flavours. They were perfect….
All our meals were divine as usual from fish and chips to chicken risotto, my choice last night was Pepperoni Pizza and beer battered fries. A somewhat different choice for me but truly delicious…
The White House is a must visit destination in the Tauranga area.

Great food, cooked well. Alongside the great food was great table service. Nice to find a restaurant that has the complete package. We will return again to try out more of the menu.

Very disappointed for the second time. Four of us went a few months ago, and were not happy with our meals, owner said they had a new Chef.
We went back today, and the menu again was different, I chose the Chicken liver parfait, as some time ago I had the chicken liver pate, and it was absolutely beautiful with baby cornichons, caramelised onion relish and walnuts, with ciabatta bread too.
This time the parfait was white, not the usual pinky colour of cooked chicken livers, had no taste whatsoever, in fact I got the other three people with me to taste it and they all said the same, and it just came with a small dollop of fig relish, 3 small caper berries, and brioche bread.
So I asked the waitress what flavour it was supposed to be, she went away and asked the Chef, came back and said, "As the menu says, it is chicken liver, but it has a lot of dairy in it. "
It was really embarrassing the way she spoke to me, as if I was stupid, and different recipes I have used for this are pinky in colour some with brandy, or red wine maybe garlic or thyme as well to give a nice flavour, that is why I asked, as it was white, and sadly lacking in flavour.
We all agreed we will not go back again, as they keep altering ingredients in the various dishes. I know all restaurants change their menu at times, but in this case, as they say, " If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Long story short DO NOT GO HERE. Severely over priced. Soup was not even luke warm (basically cold). I left hungry and had to buy take aways. No joke. Waitress never came to offer any more drinks so we would’ve ordered at least 3 more each. Such small portions! It was a 1/4 scoop of ice cream for desert. People next to us were shocked how tiny it was as well. My salmon meal was tiny and came with clams and spinach. Wouldn’t recommend this for the money you pay!

Been there several times for lunch and meals/service have always been consistently good. Booked last week for dinner, mentioning it was our silver wedding anniversary (and again on arrival). Not looking for any discounts/deals, but a simple 'congratulations' would have been appreciated. The meal was OK but when given the desert menu, ordered the Benoffee Pie only to be told they didn't have any. Would be good to tell people what was and was not available when handing out the menus

This is a proper hidden gem just outside of Tauranga. Super friendly staff, nice atmosphere and a great vegan menu which is better than any I managed to find in the city. My non-vegan family loved their courses too. Make sure you book in advance as this place fills up quick and for good reason.

We had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. What an experience. The food was simply amazing. Great service too (at least the first server was, the second was a little gruff but we didn't mind). Would definitely recommend.

Just want to say thank you to the White House, was a really nice surprise for end of the day. We had there yumny Beef Carpacco for entree, Mains - Fish of the Day (Snapper) and Crispy skin Pork Belly, confit potatoes, scallops, seasonal vegetables, cauliflower puree, prune just.
Who ever there Chef is has a lot of talent, great flavors, artist flare also use eatable flowers from there own garden. We don't normally have dessert am glad we did this time, Affogato with Bailey shot and Black Forrest. Also like to say coming back home to this local ingredients makes me miss my home more!

Just lunch which was fine.service was good. Had scallop entree mixed breads with oil and hummus and fish & chips for main. All were nice but nothing that made me go WOW that meal was beautiful. Pretty basic.

Had a beautiful meal last night. Chilean chicken. Our other friends who were with us all commented the same with their meals. Service was prompt. Other diners were in different parts of restaurent, ample spacing between tables.

One star review because this place clearly doesn't care about the COVID-19 level 2 restrictions. Most of the tables in the room we were in (it was the room with the EFTPOS machine) were extremely close to one another (I was definitely sitting closer than a metre to someone at the next table over), we had multiple servers coming up to the table when you're only allowed one and at no stage were they prompting to either scan the business QR code or offer a book for us to sign in to record we had been there.

While the food was lovely, we found the service very poor. We booked well in advance, on our arrival we were told that's your table over there. We then sat for 15 minutes with no acknowledgement or offer of drinks or menus. We summoned the waitress to us. When the dishes were brought out they were handed to us and not placed on the table. Very disappointing, we had returned because a previous visit was much better.

We went there for my birthday tonight and loved it! The food was amazing. Everything was perfect. So glad we chose to celebrate here. We will definitely be coming back. ️

First time for us here. Will be back! Gorgeous restored old homestead with great outdoor seating, excellent food and bev menu. We chose 3 shared entrees for lunch and they were all perfect washed down with a great selection of wines by the glass. Staff friendly and efficient cheers and thanks!

Another wonderful night at The White House Restaurant. We took our daughter and son in law to celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary and a wee baby on the way. The meals were so flavorsome again! Best Seafood Chowder, creamy Pate, scallops & chilli prawns.delish!
Pork Belly, Chilean Chicken, Scotch Steak & Green Chicken Curry.more delightful. All beautifully cooked and presented. Service was awesome. Waitress Petra was very friendly and Jo and Penny are so welcoming and friendly. They are truly amazing. 3rd visit and 3rd lot of me scummy meals.
Go along and enjoy yourself too.
