A Country Home

We cannot recommend A Country Home enough! We were recommended the kennels by friends as we needed somewhere for our cocker spaniel to stay for 6 weeks while away in Europe. Nic was amazing to deal with, booking and communication leading up to his stay was easy, and when we arrived for a visit beforehand the kennels were extremely clean, organised and had plenty of area for our dog to run around in. We were sent photos throughout our trip and felt that our dog was treated like family, we were able to enjoy our honeymoon knowing our dog was in safe hands. We will definitely be using A Country Home again, thank you so much to Nic and her team for doing such an amazing job of looking after Louie!

I highly recommend A Country Home for your fur baby. They were incredibly kind to us & Tilly (our Golden Lab). My husband broke his leg while on our family holiday & we had to stay in Blenheim hospital for 10 days (we live in ChCh) so Tilly had to go to kennels for the first time ever which made me a bit anxious. Tilly had a fabulous time with Julie ringing me regularly & sending a video to let me know that Tilly was having a lovely time which made me feel so relieved. Tilly now has her very own holiday home & we will definitely be taking her back soon when I travel for work again

A Country Home is the only kennel I use now. I travel long distances to take my dog there. Its Family run and private, Julie and Richard are down to earth, highly experienced, reliable and know what they are doing. Their kennels are what you see on their website, spacious, clean and have real grass in seperate areas. Their prices are fair and reasonable considering the high quality of care my dog receives.
They also go the extra mile to accommodate your dog in difficult times. My dog goes nuts when I tell her where we're going. We're going to Julies house to which she responds with much enthusiasm. Trust me, these Folk and their awesome Kennels are the best, you wont find anything else like it.

Our 2 wee doggies Inca & Poochie Stayed recently. I was very impressed with there kind and compassionate caring. Cery proffessional and genuine dog lovers. Our wee furbabies were very well looked after and when we picked them up they were cosy warm and happy.

What a great home away from home for our furry babies. Doug loved being there and I will have no hesitation on sending him back again for a little holiday

Great kennels and cattery. Have been using them for years. Julie and Richard are wonderful carers of animals with a great facility. Lots of room both both cats and dogs.

Really great, Buddys always happy and excited as soon as we turn in the driveway, I know Buddy is going to be cared for and treated with kindness, which gives me peace of mind and I can relax when our little man stays there.
Both Julie and Richard go the extra mile for their clients and owners.when they are able.

Excellent facilities, happy to leave our dog there knowing he is looked after so securely and comfortably.

Amazing! Our little dog, Mr Pickles, has been there twice now and absolutely loves it. He receives great care and personal attention from Julie and Richard. The facilities are the best that we've ever seen at a kennel. We miss him when we go on holiday.but know that he's probably having an ever better time that we are!

Brilliant service dogs got washed nice amount of running room and heated kennels always looked after

A really great place. I have a Border Collie and he has stayed there several times from about 6 months of age. One of the best if not the best boarding kennel around. He even gets excited when we get close to the property. I have no hesitation in recommending this kennel to anyone who wants their pet really cared for

My dog and cat love coming here. I feel happy to go away knowing they are getting the best care and they are always happy and well looked after when I pick them up.

The only place I would recommend and the only place I would leave my kids. Lovely setup for the cats and dogs. They also have underfloor heating for the cold nights. A well fenced outside area for the dogs to stretch their legs during the day. And very attentive and caring people, who live on the property, so you know someone is right there with them
