Cats on Cranford (Ourvets) reviews
18I would never use this cattery again. I was disgusted at the state of it. I visited it 3 times in space of 24 hours, and each time it was filthy. It was dirty, unkept and stunk of urine. When i unexpectedly arrived early on my 3rd visit, as i was concerned about my cat. They were about to leave and had not even bothered to clean the cage. It was soiled and saturated with urine. I was very underwhelmed by the young woman who oversees it. She appears not to have the knowledge, integrity, or heart to be working in such a place. Left gutted that such a place is allowed to continue.
Excellent facilities and wonderful staff. I always feel relaxed when I leave my little friend here
Friendly capable staff, handled my paraplegic cat with special needs with care and competence.
The team are fabulous and it's lovely that they care so much. I never have any concerns leaving Pernod there and fully trust the team to keep her safe.
I have used this cattery for close on 30 years and highly recommend it. Even though I have now moved to the other side of town, I keep taking my fur baby back here because she knows the place and the team, and is well looked after. Special thanks to Lane for her care and attention
On our first visit we were greeted with a friendly staff member who was very helpful
We went and had a look at the working of the catery. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and the was no stale urine smell about the place as the last cattery we visited we couldn't wait to leave as the smell was appalling
We have not yet booked our cat in yet as we were just looking before we have to as we have to find a replacement as they were closing
The staff are very caring and obviously love our little moggies. Underfloor heating in the winter and a reasonable size room plus a private outdoor area for them to sunbath in. Quality food if your not taking in your own
Laine and the team are amazing. Our cats are not the easiest of boys but they go out of their way to make their stay as enjoyable and stress free as possible
I have had our cat stay here many times. I can't say in all honesty that she likes it, but I do know that she is well fed, well housed, and the carer does try and interact with them. Thoroughly recommended
While the staff are friendly and they were able to accommodate a xmas booking with only a few months notice, the level of care or lack there of was obvious when it came time to pick the cat and bring her home. Basic instructions on feeding and care were ignored completely. Only half the amount of food provided was given for the 2 week period and we have never seen the level of stress, anxiety and weight loss with any other cattery she has been to over the years. Do not think the cat was intentionally mistreated and the facilities are clean and fairly standard however do not think the level of care or attention is at the level most pet owners would expect and hope more attention is paid in the future however we will not be taking that chance.
Amazing place. Looked after my cat every Christmas and holiday for years upon years. My cat would walk straight in and not look back once he arrived at Cats on Cranford. He was so comfortable there and the staff are so loving. I would never suggest any other place. The convenience of the vet next door is amazing too, as they were able to vaccinate him and properly care for him in his old age whenever he was staying at Cats on Cranford.
I and a friend have each been using this place for some time. It is popular and it would pay to ring well ahead of time to make a booking and make sure your cat is up to date with all its vaccinations. There is a well fenced secure area for your cat to get some exercise and visitors are welcome anytime to keep your cat company. It is quite central so easy for drop offs and pick ups and the cats seem to be quite relaxed while they are there.
They r just awersum people who really look after ur animals ma cats seem to be happy i also have a little male kitten who i visit as well
Great service and friendly staff. Felt quite confident leaving our kitten in such great hands. Highly recommend.
Will not put my cats in here again.
The place stank and my kitten came home with a pooey bum.
Wasn't impressed with the service this time my cats have been here before and was good. This time no one checked there vaccinations and one of my cats came home with a blister on his paw pad. The cattery smelt very bad. A real shame.
Just the nicest cattery ever - wonderful staff, lovely clean rooms, and I can always go away knowing our wee baby is being looked after and fussed over.
Looked after our nervy puss after relocating to Chch. Lovely staff and fantastic, separate "rooms" for cats. Would definitely use again if we needed to!
