Hungry Wok reviews
13A bit dirty and food was alright but some were hard as a rock. For example the fried fish was stale. A little expensive for the quality of food received. Waste of money and probably wouldn’t come back
I’m not sure if the business running under another management
The food quality changed and was not tasty as it use to be
I hope they will do better next time
Chilli beef was poor and no beef, it was mostly pineapple and sauce
Lemon chicken was dry and no chicken eaither
No fish bites nor eggs
I will think twice next time before I buy
Thanks
Food Poison! My wife & I ordered and shortly after eating our take aways we both got very sore stomachs and were throwing up! I will never go here again & DO NOT RECOMMEND! Very disappointed
Got a takeaway this evening. Inedible. It had a fowl taste throughout and had the texture of being very old. I couldn't find a way to contact them directly which is odd for this day and age. Very sad they used to be reliable.
Hungry Wok. The WORST food court in NZ. Food tastes like cardboard and mucus, staff less manners than chimps, hygiene worthy of China's name
Food is like slop here. Lady behind the counter was on her phone throughout the transaction. Everything is drowned in sauce, probably to try and disguise the bland meat. Spring rolls soggy. Only pro for me was chucking it out.
Ordered takeaway, to take home to eat. The chicken was off and pink. Sadly my 5 year old ate the chicken before I could take it out, and has food poisoning from the chicken. Not very happy. Didn't have enough time to go back today, and away to back in over weekend. Would not recommend at all, not first time getting food poisoning from here.
So bad lagsa noodle soup I ever have no taste and the price too expensive for what I got never ever go back
Our experience wasn't bad at all. The food was well presented and appealing at the counter, so we plated what we felt like. I enjoyed the fried rice, sweet & sour pork, egg omelette and the usual wontons and samosas. All standard fare, really, but yes, it was rather tasty.
I love this place. The service is always friendly, and efficient. The wonton is my favourite. The quality and cooking of the noodles is very good, close to the best in Hong Kong.
I am a small eater. A container of chinese is my dinner and my lunch the next day.
Eating my noodles I found a black hair in it. Of unknown origins. I dont have black hair. So there goes dinner and there goes my lunch.
Absolutely wouldn't recommend. I was hoping I was a one off hygiene issue. From reading the other reviews a visit from the health department, clearly wouldn't go astray.
Hungry Wok Located in Northlands Shopping Centre. As someone with an Asian wife who is a Thai chef don’t think we would ever go back after today. Mall was very quiet not many people eating in food court so guess the food in the help yourself had dried out under the warming lights spring rolls and samosas where as tasteful as dried cardboard. Sweet and sour pork had no flavour and very watery and we sat and watched staff rehydrate by adding water to food in warmer. Worst food I have ever had from any Mall food court.
The Hungry Wok I felt didn't do too bad at all with the meal I got there while in the Northlands Mall. Obliging and polite the service for me was fine. The meal tasted nice and thought what I got was value for money.
There are a variety of dishes and flavours. Good sized meals either take away or the meal an be eatan in the food court.
