Thank you for the amazing kaimoana and the excellent service. We live rural and the fish arrived within 48 hours of my placing the order. Our rural postie rings us to say that she has frozens on board and so our kai arrives in great condition. Our whanau love the kai, which we share. Got in a box of the pāua fritters and damn but they're tasty. Six well packed and easily cooked patties - bread, butter, lemon juice and s&p, what a treat!

Ordered the pāua pies which arrived still frozen. Absolutely delicious, with a subtle hint of lemon! Thoroughly recommend.

I'm a huge fan of Paua and while i am disappointed that CIF will no longer sell whole paua the rest of their products are fantastic. The Blue Cod pies are out simply amazing and i was picking the paua pies were going to be my favourite. Great service online and super easy to deal with i would recommend their products and service to anyone. Bring on the crayfish tails.

At the recent Food Show held in Auckland we tasted some Blue Cod courtesy of the Chatham Island Food Co.
At the stand we ordered a 2kg box of Blue Cod to be delivered to our home address, a rural address some way north of Auckland.
We were told to expect delivery about 48 hours after dispatch from Chatham Island.
In fact, this proved not to be the case.
Delivery was made to us some 40 hours after dispatch … remarkable.
The package arrived in perfect condition, well insulated with the contents still frozen.
The fillets were all, and more, that we expected being a good size, well filleted and seemingly straight out of the ocean, which they most likely were.
Even with the freight costs included, it still represented great value, especially as Blue Cod is a comparative rarity in the shops around our area, especially being so fresh.
All in all, we can absolutely recommend this company.
Incidentally, we are in no way connected to the company other than being a very appreciative customer.

I rarely had the chance to eat Paua, not a family favourite so never ever appeared on any of our meals.
Then some months ago I saw the Paua pies come available on the regular Chatham Island Food emails.
Being an avid, for some considerable time, customer of the amazing Chatham Blue, I thought I should try them.
I am not sure just how many boxes I have ordered since seeing that email but it is now well into double figures and the family have embraced them.
I have to say that these pies are now eagerly devoured in our household.
The pies are delicious and creamy with light and flaky pastry and after having tried them for the first time, have converted at least four other people to enjoying Paua in this way, having never tried it before.
Delivered with amazing speed from the acceptance of order, sometimes within less 24 hours, they arrive frozen but once prepared are so very fresh, just like the Chatham Blue.

The product I received was top notch and the price was cheaper from Chatham Island Food Co than to buy them from my local fisheries, they were selling paua $99kg where I bought mine through CIFC @ $85kg & $10 delivery up2 20kg so it cost me in total $95.

I found this very convenient and will definitely purchase more from CIFC.

ALSO, I just want to mention that the weather last week was atrocious up n down Aotearoa (New Zealand) but my cargo arrived overnight in the best package for my paua.

Highly recommend their sumptuous blue cod, arrived well packed and frozen, fillets able to be removed singly, and quite delicious and fresh.

Purchased for my elderly mum to enjoy. She absolutely loved it. The quality and freshness, brought back memories of the fish she grew up eating. High praise indeed, as her father was a commercial fisherman from the Catlins.

We buy the Blue Cod often and the pies, it is so amazing, and we get many meals out of one box of cod, living rural and working long hours over calving, this is such a treat, and during covid the service was superb from this team, we are so spoilt in this country to be able to have such fresh fish to our doorstep.

We have had a couple of deliveries from Chatham Island food company now. Anyone who knows me, knows I’m very fussy about the freshness of my ingredients, particularly fish. The fish delivered to us is right up there on the freshness scale. Absolutely delicious and perfect in every way! Keep up the grand job you are doing of delivering the best product to us all!
