Cafe Anatolia Taradale

Went to have lunch place was like walking into freezer asked for heating to be put on was told it wasn't working! It was warmer outside (at time was about 5 degrees) was also told this 3 weeks ago! So left and went else where for lunch pretty sure there are laws about working environment temperatures I'm sticking to the Hastings one where the it's warm and staff are friendlier

Would be a great place to get food if they could ever get an order correct. Unfortunately selecting the "no salad" option doesn't seem to make its way to the kitchen as I nearly always end up with plenty of it. Getting abit tired of trying with it

My Hubby (Mike) ordered a chicken kebab tonight but this time their was a long piece of human hair in it most disappointing. As this is the very first time i have ever found this before. Put me off eating my dinner so through it out.

They have recently added a new feature in the cafe, where you cannot talk to a person to order, you have to order on an ipad they have there. I guess this feature is good for introverts and is faster then talking.
I always get the mixed meat kebab, it is always packed to the brim with meat and veggies. Its very fulling. One thing to add though they need to add more sauce, other then that its very delicous.
I quite like the satay, garlic and this mint like sauce.

I had a takeaway meal last night 16/8. I am very impressed by the the very professional, happy, efficient staff members at Cafe Anatolia. The Cafe is very clean and the food was delicious as well. Thankyou.

Very nice modern feeling place, has self ordering kiosks which is great, price seems steep at first but portions are big and the quality of the food is great, definitely recommend.

Nice turkish, all kiosk payment was a bit impersonal, staff were nice though. Felt it needed a turkish touch to the ambience, its a bit sterile.

Forgetful staff havnt been able to get it right once for me. This time no sauces at all. They did get the cheese this time though.

Iskenders are usually pretty good here. Unfortunately inflation has led the place to take a few shortcuts.

Salad, sauces and hummus have been downsized and rice portion increased.

Tiramisu had a great taste but ruined by ice crystals from being frozen.

Automated checkout installed earlier this year is a good response to inflation, the rest is penny pinching at the detriment of the experience.

Opening hours say 11-9. Pulled into car park out front at 8.45pm. As we got out of car lights turned off & store shut. Maybe alter your opening hours online & in window.

Worst kebab i have eaten my entire life. Wrap wasn’t cook properly. Chicken was dry and haven’t put enough sause not recommend to anyone

Lady in store always ignores me the first time, no matter which counter I go to. And why give me my food at the other counter. This is why I order online, rude every time but pretty good food

Now that the automated order system is in place, the orders are consistent and timely. Great improvement. Will definitely use this franchise again.

Very impersonal service using keyboards and no interaction with a human. Very sad. Won't be using any more.
If you want my money the least you can do is talk to people, you are after all in a service industry.

Kebabs are generally very good, but it depends on who is making them. Their on line ordering system needs much improvement,
Twice now, placed order gor 6-30pm never received it until 7-0 pm
Why order online and select a time when they cant make the Kebab by the nominated timeslot? Had a coment placed to me as (bloody hopeless) will try another shop next time

I went to get my favourite takeaway at the Taradale store the other day and noticed they had a new ‘kiosk’ setup. Basically you can now place your order with a tablet. I wasn’t going to use it at first but the manager got me started and it was easy peasy, pretty much like the online app. It’s probably faster and more informative than ordering at the counter? Great for checking out the whole menu, sauces, prices and so on. The staff seemed happy and friendly as usual and the store always feels really clean and hygienic. The food is consistently tasty, fresh and good quality. I really like how thin they slice the chicken. And the sauces are amazing, I have experimented quite a lot and can recommend smoky mayonnaise and satay. They also do kid’s portions, desserts and other sweet treats, the tiramisu will change your life LOL. Best food in Hawkes Bay, good portion sizes, pleasant staff, open 7 days, FULLY Recommend 5 Stars *****

Spent 80 dollars on two iskenders with double meat added. Food was incredibly average for the price and the portions were minimal especially considering I paid extra for double the meat.

Ordered a regular meat on chips and container was only half full chips were under cooked and cold we arrived on time to pick up but meal was very cold

The kebabs need to be toasted more. Soggy wrap and prepared poorly. Contents of wrap falling out.

Not usually one to give a bad review but I have been here twice now and on both occasions I was told there is a 20minute wait so I head home and come back 20minutes later to be told there’s still another half an hour wait … very frustrating. If I could just get told a realistic wait time that would be great
