The team are very efficient (as always).
Tonight I was especially impressed, because it was a busy night and we only needed a table for two. The only options for two were bar leaner stools, which my husband can't eat at well, due to his disability. The young lady didn't hesitate to place us at a table that was clearly set for 5. So awesome team! We will definitely be back.

What a cool little find in Havelock North. It’s what every Mexican restaurant should be, a bit quirky, small, friendly staff, great margaritas and nice simple tasty menu. It’s such a simple formula that many places get it wrong trying too hard but Mamacita have nailed it. Can’t wait to come back and try some more food and yummy margaritas

Let’s start with service, so many staff wondering around but more busy chatting with one another. Worst Mexican style food I have ever had, Taco was cold with no real flavour apart from the coleslaw. Atmosphere was like I was at a fast food place. Recommend staying away if you are looking for a nice dinner.

In the past, we have really enjoyed this restaurant. Today we were incredibly disappointed with the food, beer and atmosphere. The food wasn’t hot, and tasted really average (we had a Quesadilla and a taco). The service wasn’t great, and when we went to pay for our bill we weren’t asked how our experience was and weren’t interacted with at all.
The margarita was nice, but unfortunately that was the only positive part of our experience today.

First time visitor.
There were plenty of staff milling around chatting and not doing much.
We weren't offered any drinks.
Hubbys taco came, 5mins later my food came and then another 15mins later his main came after I'd finished eating.
The chicken in the burger was chewy/stringy.and had about 5 waffle fries.measly for $25
The table next to us had to ask if their daughters food had been forgotten as they had all eaten, her drink was also skipped.
I overheard a new waitress at another table who seemed to be doing a good job asking if the customer had been here before, explaining stuff, asking for drinks etc.
Was just rather slow and average for a Tuesday evening,
Staff need a rev up, and food too!
Seats were also stained.maybe light material seats are not a good choice for a restaurant.
Sorry Mamacita! I had high hopes for this place!

Great food served well in a lively restaurant. Fun atmosphere - ideal for a quick bite as well as a meal.

Went for Taco Tuesday, had the Prawn Taco and the Beef Brisket Taco - mmmm amazing! As was the guacamole and crispy tortillas:)

The food was nice and tasty with just enough bite in it. The service was good but lack spontaneity and the wine very expensive

Sublime food, great drinks (especially the red Sangria!), wonderful service and a fun night out.

I've been coming here since it first opened and the food is not as good as it's been in the past. Also, $28 for two cocktails that were mostly ice and each gone in three sips, was highly disappointing! Service was excellent and I was impressed with how well they coped on such a busy night.

Amazing food, lively music and lovely staff.oh did I mention the tasty food. Great venue to catch up with friends for dinner. Gets a double yum on the Yum-Lea meter.

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience from the get go. Definitely, the negative highlight were the unfriendly staff - with Tayler being the positive exception- and the supposedly kids meals which were prepared according to the waitress “on purpose” spicy, a sauce being added to make it “less obvious ”, so the chef. No apologies from the staff. To make matter worse, we were asked to pay for the inedible kids meal, too. Happy to hear the restaurant’s response going beyond the usual “we are sorry to hear your experience didn’t match the service we typically provide…”

Love my margaritas. Jalapeno an mango ones mmmm. Mmm. Delious. Enchiladas tasty as. Servious friendly as

Ceviche was absolutely outstanding!
Best dish I've had in a long time.
Margaritas, prawn taco, fried chicken and calamari were on point.
Staff were lovely. Can't rave enough about our meal tonight.
