Oh My Goodness Specialty Breads, Bakery/Cafe reviews
31Outstanding food, great coffee, lovely teas and friendly, cheerful service. A haven for gluten free people!
The best smoothies ever!
Kids and I stopped in for a coffee. My son had waffles and the other two had smoothies. We all enjoyed our time at OMG Cafe. Such a relaxed, home away from home atmosphere with beautiful food, great coffee and space for the kids.
Amazing service! One of our group on keto and they were so accommodating. No salad on the menu but they offered to make one and worked out appropriate ingredients, to make sure it was low carb enough. Didn't make us feel like we were being difficult either! 100% recommend!
Only visiting the region and came across this fab place! What a fab find! Highly recommend for amazing food and service
Visited this cafe after reading the really good reviews. Maybe my two visits were unlucky days, but wasn’t impressed.
The first visit they didn’t have menus… we were told they have the sandwiches that are displayed in the cabinet, but the writing on the wrapper could be only seen from behind the counter. The selection wasn’t great, and when we asked what else they have, the guy told us they can make anything, any type of sandwich… weird. Anyway we got some of the stuff they had, the sandwiches were nice but soggy bread, the toasties were good but they put some sweet syrup on it and around the plate. It was served on a metal plate, that was just spinning around when you wanted to cut it. Not to mention the wobbly table. It literally takes 30 seconds to fix a wobbly table…
On our second visit - I thought you know what I might have had a bad day so let’s try again - at least they had menus. So chose a chorizo pizza and a sandwich again. I got a pizza, and was told the sandwich will follow. I dived in my pizza, no sign of chorizo but thought, it’s mixed in the sauce ore something, should have noticed the pears on it so that’s my fault, but finished the pizza before the sandwich arrived. It took them 27 minutes to make a sandwich and there were 4 tables with 7 people in the cafe. Although staff was having a great time dancing and laughing in the kitchen, I’m not against that, but you’re there for a reason, and we as customers go there for a reason. But to top that, they brought me my chorizo pizza after I finished the one they served me before. Just to add they put that sweet syrup on the pizza too.
Maybe I was unlucky, but twice in a row… not sure. Too cool for school, that’s what comes to mind.
Found this gem by (Fortunate) chance

This is an Upper Market establishment! Things are on the pricy side but Totally worth every cent. I'm so rapt we found this place and enjoyed a treat of a lunch here
100% recommend & Thankyou
Best place for a delicious lunch in Hastings, either dining in or taking away. These guys are passionate about providing scrumptious, healthy, wholesome food with a smile. I often pop in for a takeaway sandwich or slice of pizza and come away with a loaf of bread - the only problem is it doesn’t last long enough in our house! Keep up the awesome work Team Oh My Goodness - I’m a huge fan!
Gluten free options available, oat milk as default for their coffee here. What more can you ask for? Would come back here again
Yum! Perfect GF lunch option, treats and everyday bread! Buns are perfect to take home and the bread mix is second to none.
Perfectly enjoyable coffee and food. Cows milk available on request. Caters well for dietary requirements.
So great to have a cafe where those of us who are gluten intolerant can eat anything (everything!) on the menu Thanks guys, it’s a great venue too. All the best
Love this place. Shame it's only opened on weekdays. We had the pear sandwich, pizza of of the day and the banana waffle. All ingredients were fresh and the waffle was so delicious. They even used wild blueberries which is not available where I come from right now (Sydney). Great place for health conscious people. And it's yummy! So glad I found this gem
Fabulous healthy food. Great if you're GF or V or Ve but just as wonderful for a very very tasty healthly lunch for a committed omnivore. Well done!
Nice atmosphere, hot dish of the day was chilli and roast veg, flavoursome, filling and reasonably priced. Most unique way of serving a hot mint tea I’ve ever seen. Delicious- will return
Amazing lil cafe! Awesome vegan selection, healthy & delicious food. Accommodating, lovely staff, beautiful and warm ambiance. 10/10
My daughter has recently been diagnosed gf and Celeac, and she found this online. I bowled up off the street and the had a truly wonderful selection of freshly baked breads.check them out.
Awesome idea and fantastic tasty products. We heard the interview on the radio on the way to Hastings. Had to stop in. So glad we did!
'Fruity and Proud' loaf, with raisin and apricot, is organic, gluten, dairy and refined sugar free, paleo and vegan. It is also, to put it simply, the Best Bread Ever Made in New Zealand! And trust me, because of the country where I was born, I do know a thing or two about bread ;-) Purchased at Britomart Station, Auckland.
Visited the bakery last month. Bought one of each loaf to try (except the ones with egg and honey which I am allergic to). Actually stopped on the side of the road on the way home and made a sandwich. OMG sooo good.
Just had 15 loaves sent to the Binn Inn Taupo this week. And only gave one away this time.hopefully they will stock this bread in future. Awesome keep up the good work.
Beautiful bread that's also good for you. I've been baking this bread at home for over two years. It's very easy to work with. Well done team and keep up the great work!
