Richies Market

This is place not a usual Cafe, chairs were all stacked up in corner and not set out, tables needed wiping down, rubbish bins inside Cafe were full. The place was quite busy this morning people wanted to sit and eat but there was very limited seating and when we did get chairs they were stacked up they were dirty and needed to be wiped down too. Food was mediocre, coffee was disgusting and 1 particularly staff member was very rude and abrupt - will not visit again. The only reason we ended there was because Oslo's next door was closed.

Really poor customer service, made the coffees for the person who ordered after me first. Wouldn't go back.

We go to this place regularly. The food is good, but only one of the employees behaves kindly. I never saw the owner being nice or smiling. Today we bought 2 sandwiches and asked her to grill them for us. Apparently she didn't like this. Couple of minutes later we got it 2 completely burnt sandwiches. My feeling was that she do it intentionally. We will not go to this place again. I don't understand why someone runs a restaurant when she apparently hates it all.

Good selection of international goods, frozen squid, spice blends and general groceries vegetables bags of potatoes fruit

My son and I eat Richies regularly! We love the selection of hot food and enjoy the yumminess of each freshly made bite. We also love their Choc shakes.

When queried 6 dollar price for cup of coffee got told I wanted to rip them off, then refused to allow me to buy anything. Terrible customer service. Went to bakery and got coffee for 4.50.

Stopped in here for a coffee on the road south, but would have been better off scooping some water out of a roadside puddle. It was weak and tastes like soap, topped up with lukewarm bubbly milk. I don't know if there is any good coffee in Wairoa, but if there is it's not at Richie's.

Always love their pie, perfect stop on the way. Their Wagyu beef pie is the BEST! Grab a pie and eat across the road near the river, best road trip stop.

Got there late evening, not much on the shelfs. Wanted a pie, but put it back cos it was stone cold. Service was slow.

Best steak pies in the Bay. Can’t resist the wagyu! Delicious cracking too, hits the spot. Definitely coming back.

There could be issues with product and placards displayed on the street regarding health and safety issues which i find messy and untidy.

Coffee was weak, Americano? Greasy kebabs and no plates! Friends say some of their food items are great though, so I will be going back to try those.

Best coffee.in town.nice strong flavor of coffee.not Milky like the others make.food price is cheap.basic.meals.locals.like this place.if you have any questions let the staff know they happy to help.

Pretty awful. Went in Good Friday. Not overly busy. All the tables were covered in crumbs and remnants from others meals. The staff easily had time to clean up. No plates or cutlery so I guess people just ate on a paper bag like we did. Ordered a pot of tea for two. Got two paper cups with two tea bags in each. No milk. When I asked for milk it seemed a surprise.

Honestly the best pies and the crackle in the pork roast is delishous. Lovely service as well xx

We ordered seven hot drinks but after making four the batista walked away and didn't bring us any more coffee untill we asked for the last three but then again they forgot one of the coffees. The tables were all dirty and the whole store generally needed a clean.

I had a sausage roll which was extremely dry and hard as a rock. I don't want to know how long it had been sitting there for.
