Rogue Hop Speakeasy reviews
42Great selection of crafties for such a small establishment, lovely staff and nice ambience. I did not eat there.
First time at this bar, good first impressions, went upstairs and very nice warm day so large windows were open. Good service and nice toilets too. Would recommend to all.
Rough Hops has easily the most exciting range of craft beers in Napier. The Burger & Chips for $20 was sensational. The chuncky crispy chips were served with a delicious tomato relish and the burger made the taste buds dance up to the last bite.
A small friendly speakeasy, the staff are very friendly and quickly get to know you, it is often full downstairs, but has plenty of seating upstairs. There is also plenty of seating on the path outside with heaters. The pork dumplings are to die for and the rest of the menu is awesome. The beers on tap change often, and you can even take home your favourite beer home in a can, prepared as you wait.
Great wine list, and boys enjoyed the local beer. Funky and friendly. Dumplings and pate were outstanding!
Amazing friendly staff, awesome service, awesome range of Craft Beers on tap, Very relaxing place
These guys are exactly what Napier was waiting for! I'm just gutted I didn't think if doing the same.
A cocktail bar mixed with a board game room mixed with a NZ beer kellar! What's not to love? They also do food and non alcoholic drinks - including tea and coffee for those not partaking in booze. Makes it a super social place for drinkers and non drinkers alike.
Has a front Street outside section as well as an inside and upstairs sun room.
Great place. Great drinks
Great choice.
18 different craft brewed beers on tap and some very tasty snacks, ie full of flavor or picky. The Tigermilk IPA (6,6%) is excellent, it's clean and hoppy.
Love this place! Great selection of beers and super friendly service. Also make beautiful hot drinks if you're needing something non alc. Cheers for a lovely evening Rogue crew!
Great place to hang out with friends and family. Superb hospitality and five star service especially from the owner himself
Staff are friendly and willing to help. Bar is nice and tidy and there's extra seating upstairs
A must visit for the craft beer fan while in Napier, friendly staff and good beer selections.
Great atmosphere and really good pork dumplings
Great spot for a few beers -lots of selection available and friendly staff. Didn't try the food this time but will come back for sure.
We like to sit outside at the tables on the street or upstairs with the big windows open.
Service is friendly and fast - these people enjoy what they do.and you can tell!
You can stick to your favourite drinks or try something new.let them know what you normally like and they can recommend something new to try! The tapas plates especially dumplings seem to be popular. I will have to try a couple of them on my next visit!
Great beers, great variety, atmosphere true to the name. Thks for an enjoyable post shopping drink.
Awesome place to have a couple of drinks with friends, great selection, helpful staff and cool views of Napier from an angle you don't usually get to see.
Warm on a rare Napier cold day, welcoming friendly staff. Only had coffee and a Danish but they were excellent!
Great selection of craft beer, nice and well priced local wine, with decent food as well. Highly recommended, comfortable beer and food outfit
Lovely staff, very helpful. Only stayed downstairs but look forward to seeing the upstairs area next time.
Been casing the place for over 6 months now. "Researching" their craft beers tirelessly and the truth is their selection is on a rotation using Borg algorithms, THEY'RE UNFATHOMABLE! That's a good thing if you're adventurous and actually have taste, class, and prefer staff who are the antithesis of grumpy-britches. But seriously, I don't know a thing about good beer or style. All I know is that I'm supporting a different NZ craft beer almost every time I'm in there whether it's hump day, hump day's eve, Friday, or Friday's eve, and because the place and the people have style, by alchemical reduction employing the magic of delicious craft beers and friendly attractive barstaff, I too become delicious and attractive (for a limited time, results may vary, apply lotion if style persists).
