Was at a wonderful 70th celebration last night 7/10/23
Shani’s catered brilliantly for our large group- they were efficient with collecting our numerous orders. The food was beautifully presented and of a very high standard. Everyone at our table all commented on how great the food, atmosphere and service was.
When I requested a cocktail one of the two waitresses we had sorted it very quickly.
Just an awesome night and awesome venue.

Last night the 7th October I had my 70th Birthday at Shanis Restaurant, what a lovely evening the meals were out standing and the service was great a huge thank you to Jesseka, what amazing job she did waiting on 26 of us upstairs. Much appreciated. Coral Soanes

Nice food but felt we were rushed to eat and be moved on. Waitress rushed us through the courses.

Excellent restaurant, amazing food quality & variety for all, licensed, friendly staff, child's play room, lovely restaurant with neat photos on screen to view beautiful scenery while dining; great coffee & desserts (Thank you for the Birthday candles) ️

My eight year old son and I had a fantastic meal which was hearty and we'll priced. There is a very cool kids play room in the restaurant too, so my boy was well entertained while we waited for our food. Be sure to book in advance; the place is super popular, especially around 5.30-7. Overall, a really positive experience!

The meals here are next level amazing! Can be hard to get a table so booking is recommended. I would highly recommend going here. The best place I have eaten in such a long time

Had delicious ribs and chips from the food truck in Napier.
So yummy and convenient to order and pay online. Will definitely be back!

Alright tasting and not great value for what you pay. $10.60 for soggy cheese sauce on chips small serving half a scoop? We got it delivered but it's not worth it we were so disappointed.

Table booked for 7.15 arrived 7 ordered by 7.18, sat there for 1hour 30 with no meal an nobody saying the wait was going to b this long, did offer bread 5 mins b4 meal came out but didnt want to fill up on bread cause we had already ordered 1 hour b4 meal turned up.finally get our meal an the bowl 4 the veges was so hot but the veges was stone cold, tho for a table of 5 with 4 being 40$ meals an 1 being 18$ meal they offered to pay 4 the 18$ an only 1 of us had a free drink

This would have been the second time I met my family at Shanis to have dinner for my birthday. The first experience was overall amazing the food and everything, although this time around wasn't soo much.
As soon as we walked into Shanis no one was there to greet us and when we finally did get greeted the young lady had no expression on her face not even a simple smile.
It was really loud too.
The same lady took our order and I have 2 65 year old parents, she stood at one end of the table and had us all reaching over yelling to order our food. I've worked in many hospitality businesses and felt like they werent even trying to make sure we were comfortable, except for one young girl who really went out of her way to make sure we were well looked after.
I ordered the pork belly on roasted pumpkin mash and it was just overpowered with what tasted like cinnamon or nutmeg.
$18 for a kids macaroni and cheese that looked like they just poured sauce over n added bacon in it.
We also waited well over an hour for our food to be delivered to our table.
The food was OK but the price they charge for it didn't match in my opinion.

I would go again just not any time soon after my recent experience.

Meal was outstanding restaurant was fully booked and the service and wait time was reasonable. Food arrived at a very high standard. Pricing was affordable for what we got and was very delicious, atmosphere was lovely as well

FANTASTIC - our first experience of Sharni's Rib Truck - Wow - Ribs were a generous size - Smokey and sweet - delicious, as were the Jalepeno Poppers, Mushroom Sauce and Fries - got to be the best Ribs we have ever had.can't wait to see you in Waipukurau again - you need to let people know you are coming! 100% recommend your food and friendly service. Their ribs are awesome, their salad is awesome and even though I always order the basic burger, it’s full of flavour and I love it. Their curly fries are lovely as well

The value for money is well worth it. The food tasted beautiful, especially their ribs. Will definitely come back again.

We opted to have our meals takeaways. What fabulous dishes they were. Beautifully packed in compostable containers. The food was so much and so delicious we managed to have plenty left over for the next night.
Thoroughly recommend Shani's.
The bottle store next door is handy if you're going straight home like we were.

A little disappointed. Many friends recommended Shani’s and told us how much they love eating here. Our steaks were average and not prepared how we ordered it. Staff were friendly and helpful and accommodating but I doubt if we will eat here again.

Very reasonable and tasty food. Steak was done to perfection and garlic bread and fries were awesome. Chorizos were yummy as well. My son loved the garlic bread. Ribs were good. My husband loved his Long Island tea… Friendly staff and lovely ambience. Must visit place if you’re in Napier
