Te Mata Figs Cafe reviews
47Amazing gluten free food. All incredibly fresh! Highly recommend even if you aren’t gluten free. It was so so yum!
Such an amazing place! As a coeliac it's fantastic that everything here is gluten free.
They have a great range of food options, including sweet and savoury cabinet and menu items. Everything we tried was delicious and great value too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Couldn't have been better!
There is also an adjoining shop selling items using their figs.
We arrived on a busy Friday lunch time. The food are nice and the staffs host well. But as not in the fig season, didn't try any fresh figs, a pity.
We enjoyed a delicious Avo Smash! Best gluten free bread ever, made daily on site! Refreshing ice coffees too!
A lovely cafe with friendly staff, we ordered the haloumi fig salad. After waiting a while the lady popped out to say they run out of haloumi and are cooking some more, another 20 mins later our food came out. The coffee was good, meal was also good, but will try something different next time.
Found a fig specialist, all things figs you have got them here! We were recommended the warm fig salad and were not disappointed! The plate was generous with roasted figs, the salad was delicious and well dressed. Atmosphere was relaxed and allowed dogs outside. Would definitely recommend for anyone, whether fig lover or not.
Do you remember how it feels when you were first introduced to your boyfriends friends? That you can easily tell and feel if there’s any future connection there or not. This is how you feel when you go and visit your local cafes and shops, you’re supposed to feel at home and welcomed each time you visit. And this cafe NEVER disappoint when it comes to their hospitality, they are warm and sweet and very understanding. They make your order spot-on! Just like your family, yes oh yes.they make you feel like you’re part of the family…, And please, don’t even let me start bragging about the food… their food? , … amazinglybrilliant! Yes, you got it right.
One word, … amazinglybrilliant!
Their coffee, sooo good! I like my mocha Large, S/S with Macadamia milk…. By jeez. Even the “Best Cafe in Havelock North” can’t even level to theirs. You can probably hear me bragging about them in the street, in the gym. Oh well that’s how much I love this place. So if you’re still reading this review, do yourself a favour, Go! See, feel and taste what I’m talking about.
Had the platter, amazing flavours and two of us are feeling pleasantly full. Coffee was great too, and the team there was helpful.
Staff are always super friendly, very helpful and they know Figs! Lovely food with a good selection. We love coming back:)
The Figgery is a small cafe with a focus on everything to do with figs. We had a delicious light lunch, I had the hot smoked salmon open sandwich which was perfect. There's a small gift shop attached to the cafe also.
Went to buy some figs and my wife was carrying the baby’s food in a box. The guy from the cafe ran shouting towards us that you can’t have this food in here. We were not there to feed the baby. The way he told us not to have this food was very rude. We didn’t know that the cafe is gluten free, we only went to buy some figs. I think everyone deserve some politeness especially in a cafe.
Nice place to go to, good food but get in quick as the cabinet food runs out quick. They also have a shop located in the cafe to sell and assortment of fig products
Beautiful place with very delicious food. Would recommend stopping by this place if you are looking to try something that is unique and different from a normal cafe style.
This is an outstanding cafe with absolutely gorgeous food. The fact that everything is also gluten free makes us all tingly inside! My partner is coeliac and she was so excited to be able to select anything from the menu. The food is just incredible and we even had to takeaway several cabinet treats. We’re visiting NZ for three months and this place will be one of our lasting memories. Wonderful staff added to our visit! A+
Gluten free heaven
Super service and food.
Just out of town and a oasis of peace and tranquility
What a great coffee stop. Nice coffee friendly staff and got a figgy pudding for Xmas so really happy.
Scores excellent on the trifecta of taste, healthy and value for money. Bonus points for being gluten free. Best meal we've had in the area and will definitely be back.
If you like figs.this is for you!
Food is delicious, and the little shop is nice, you'll find a lot of figgy products (cosmetics, food, oils etc.)
Friendly staff.
We are from the south island and I must say it would be hard to find a cafe with meals as tasty as provided by this Cafe. They also have counter goodies, gift packs etc. Don't drive by without giving them a try. You will be pleasantly surprised from the counter to the chef. Our thanks to all.
Limited menu, not the place if a bloke wants a big breakfast, or meat in general. Flavours didn't match unfortunately.
