30 Very expensive ordered tawa roti only
Charge $5 each
Ordered 12 roti paid $60 it’s rip off
Just ordered delivery from here delivery arrived minus drink rang restaurant he told me to send someone for the drink or can replace next time I order told him to credit it back to cc nope send someone or order next time sort of defeats the purpose of delivery hence 1 star
A lovely restaurant at West quay in Napier. We went on the spur of the moment and were welcomed in. The food was delicious. We ordered a paneer pakora to share, a lamb korma, lamb saag and a prawn masala in medium but I like a good spicy curry so would have a hot curry next time. We will go again.
We were given a tandoori platter for two. Well, I had the feeling that it was a plate for one. The taste is good but nothing special. The serving speed was a bit longer but good in the end. We also had butter and garlic naan. Butter were delicious. The garlic was almost tasteless. The patties were very thin. In the end, again not enough portion. The environment was pleasant. There is also no parking lot.
I love the turmeric chicken with bone curry, it is honestly amazing. Highly recommend this place.
Visited napier and went this place for the first time. The food is delicious with fresh flavours and aromats. Highly recommend.
Really disappointed.
After viewing the online menus, we decided to get the $19.00 Combo deals.
I called to place our order.
On arrival, was surprised at the bill for over $50.
The man serving me said I didn’t order the special combo and the meals were $26 each!
This didn’t include any drink either.
He said they haven’t taken the deal off the internet yet.
A bad attitude, and Ripped Off.
Definitely not ordering from here again
Fantastic food, generous portions and a style of their own. Have been recommending it to all my Hawkes bay coworkers.
Got the tandoori fish, Best fish I have ever had, cooked beyond perfection. Will be back for multiple platefuls
Delicious freshly cooked authentic food, really loved the semosa chat, one portion is enough to share with two.
As always, ended up ordering more than we could eat. Took the rest home in a doggy bag as a breakfast treat tomorrow morning.
Will definitely be back to try more on the menu.
Nice to see that there's a great selection of vegetarian food listed on the menu as well
Honestly some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Two of us, both very hungry, got a starter, two mains, and some naan and came away very pleasantly full. The food was all of great quality, and the Behind the Bush cocktail was delicious. The staff were all very friendly and attentive despite clearly having a very large number of takeaway orders. The price was also VERY reasonable for the amount of food we got. If you’re looking for the same old pub food go elsewhere, but if you want wonderful flavors and a great atmosphere then this is exactly what you’re looking for.
Worst food and worst service ever seen, no happy welcome looked like they were not happy with the customers coming. Never recommend to go there.
Wowwww, the food is Amazing in here. Service, is fab. I usually go for lunch menu here, you will get good options with less price during the lunch time. #happyeating
PS: Not much variety for drinks.
Ordered Butter Chicken with Naan and Vegetable Pakora last night as i normally order this all the time and omg the pakora was disgusting had way to much salt in it the batter was just yuck or the oil was old it was very disappointing enough to put a person off butter chicken was ok
Worst experience ever
We went to this restaurant after long tiring day they made us to wait almost 45 min, meanwhile the delivery boys were coming and picking up the food.i think they are prioritising the online orders
Also the guy who was taking the orders was extremely rude to customers
Really enjoyed food this time. However it was really busy time for them to serve but the chef made us tasty dishes with our demanded changes with good smile. The staff who was serving and looking for customers also did great job. I didn't see all staff taking a bit to relax and continuously serving everyone. It was one of my great experiences today. Really appreciate their hard work.
After reading so many good reviews, I was disappointed in both the food quality and the long unexpected wait for a scheduled take away pick up (the restaurant was not busy)
Great location and atmosphere. We ordered the chicken tikka masala and lamb korma and it wasn't tasty at all. Each main is served with rice. There were three of us and were served one small bowl of rice between the three of us which wasn't sufficient. Curry seemed to be missing essential spices.
Waiting staff was very courteous, however our food was waiting several minutes behind them several times before it was brought out to us.
I have few remarks regarding food and services.
We ordered 2 chicken biriyani (indian hot) and a bhuna lamb (indian hot). Waiting time for the food was 25 min but took almost 45-55 mins. Even at the end they forgot the rice that come with the curry. So we had to go back again. The least expectations are that the manger remembers to pack all the things.
Next the biriyani: I will appreciate if the chefs introduce themselves to the things like salt pepper and at least basic indian spice. We ordered for a biriyani got unseasoned rice with some smell (that barely qualify for a basic pulao).
Next lamb bhuna. As per my understanding lamb bhuna is not a mix of onion tomato and lamb. The food was unseasoned rather sweet (even though ordered indian hot.i feel bad for the poor souls that order mild).
It's shame when restaurant charge you 15-20$ for a meal and serve unseasoned food, forget some order, no spice rather sweet and you feel like your home made biriyani is better than theirs.
Always a good meal from Tumeric. Our favourite source of Indian Cuisine. The food is so tasty and beautifully cooked.
