Had the best experience! The lady who washed my hair did not get one drop of water on my face and I nearly fell asleep. Such kind and welcoming staff. Came out with exactly what I asked for.

Great welcome and hair wash with neck massage however it went downhill from there. Most people with short hair know that the cut is done symmetrically, just because one side sits flat the the other side doesn't needs to be cut to be the same flatness! The length should be the same (unless you are having an asymmetrical cut). The one side that sits flat is usually worked out with hair product. The hairdresser I had was happily cutting one side very short because she wanted it to be the same as the other.really! I actually had to ask her to stop cutting it so short. No comment from her to cut the other side to match. All I got from the hairdresser was a whispered sorry. I was flabbergasted, angry and didn't want to make a scene. When I went to pay all the staff who had been hanging around in the salon had miraculously disappeared except for the young person. I rang the next morning, after seeing and analysing the mess that had been made, and provided an opportunity to go back in so someone with experience could fix up the botchup. It would have been an easy fix. A week later and I have heard nothing. I will definitely NOT be going back. Unfortunately due to circumstances I couldn't go to my normal hairdresser. Lesson I learned was not to book online - do what I normally do if having to find a new hairdresser and ring and ask the 50 questions regarding experience of the staff.
Highly disappointed.

Been here twice and both times left with a not very good haircut. Beautiful surroundings & service, but ugly haircuts for short hair

The whole experience was lovely. I was with Claudia and she was very friendly. She did a great job and her customer service is top notch.

Walking in I was unsure of what to expect, everything on their website sounded too perfect, but they followed it up by proving how amazing they were in person! The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for in a salon. I'm now looking into the other services they offer and looking forward to coming back soon!

Scout and the team at Alchemy and I were brilliant!
I made a late online booking 2 days before and they accommodated not only my booking but a friend of mine as well when I called the day before the treatment.
Nothing was too much trouble, the treatment was so relaxing and so carefully administered and I was asked several times if I needed anything as I waited for my friend.
I will definitely be going back - massive thanks to the Alchemy and I Team!

This is the 3rd time coming to alchemy & I. Its the only salon I would ever recommend to anyone. I have coarse, thick, wavy hair and not everyone knows how to deal with a whole bunch of hair. Shylo (my stylist) is amazing! She tells you what she thinks is best for your hair and your lifestyle and she always checks to make sure are okay with the cut before and after.

I had a fantastic experience at Alchemy & I with Shylo! The salon has a great atmosphere and the staff are really welcoming. Shylo is very talented, she really knows her way around curly hair and made me feel so comfortable and was really happy to share her knowledge. My hair looks and feels great!

I can not express how happy I was having my hair cut here. I have tried so many hairdressers in Palmerston North and these are absolutely amazing. It was the small touches that did it for me, from having a warm blanket whilst my hair was being washed, to actually having my hair wrapped in a towel whilst walking back to the chair. I was offered a drink which I haven’t been offered at others and the products used on my hair were amazing! The cut itself was stunning, and I’m so happy I’ve found a hairdressers as wonderful as this one. I was made to feel welcome and comfortable and was even asked to rebook before I left! They even gave me testers of the products to try at home. Amazing job, I can’t rate you high enough
