BASIC FOOD STANDARDS IN THIS PLACE ARE VERY, VERY BAD AND COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN LAID WITH PNCC - not noted for fast action - AND THE DHB.
IT WILL PROBABLY BE CLOSED DOWN, AT LEAST FOR A THOROUGH CLEAN AND BASIC STAFF TRAINING IN FOOD HANDLING.

My 5 year old daughter has had vomiting, diarrhea and a fever since eating the chicken nuggets here last night.

I to have an upset stomach after consuming their chips cooked in old oil and my vegetarian burger contained lettuce that was brown, soggy and contained a hair that was not myn.

Their chicken chow mein is absolutely the best. And the chicken bites are a big size and taste amazing

Blue Dolphin is, for me, the second takeaway that serves a generous size of fish and rice. Their fried rice tastes delicious, and their fish, too— not too salty at all, just about right. Not all Asians can pull off good tasty fried rice.

Earlier today, I grabbed something for lunch. I paid $28: for 2x almost 9 inches of fish, including breading, but the batter is only about 1/2 inches on both sides! Not bad at all. I usually ate two fish, but today I was full for just one! That’s how big the fish is — it contains more meat and LESS breading Im not exaggerating. The price is 17.50$ for fried rice combination of egg and veggies only. But it looks like a 21$ serving size!

Very generous Hong Kongese owner! And I got to talk to him. His attitude towards life while he cooks, is very inspiring. He enjoys cooking as he believes good quality food will invite more and even return customers. Thank you, Sir. I didn’t catch your name, but I am happy to know someone wise, calm, and joyful. I Will come back when I revisit Palmerston North. May you have a more happy tummy and satisfied customers in the future.

Nit impressed with burgers ar all. Hawaiian burger consisted of meat patty pineapple ring and coleslaw. Cheese burgers not that exciting either the kids would not eat. Would have taken them back but had locked the car in the garage. Won't be going back again

If you need to feed a load of ppl, this place has the best value and portion sizes to accommodate.

If you love the real crunchy style fish and (crinkle cut) chips then come here. Very good.

Fish is huge! Big scoops too.

Price wise, out of the 5-6 f&c shops I've been to in Palmy, this has been the cheapest.

Was recommended to me by a friend and didn't disappoint. Huge pieces of fish in a yummy crunchy batter, with good serving of crispy fries at a cheap price. Very friendly staff. Now my go to place for fish n chips in palmy nth

Wouldn't go back there again. Burger was soggy and fish & chips weren't very nice.

Have eaten here a couple of times and the last was not as good as the previous experiences. I think the oil they were cooking in was past its best date and the fish and chips tasted strongly of stale oil. I know it was Christmas eve and maybe they were reluctant to do anything about it but it did spoil the meal somewhat. I'll forgive them this time but if we get our takeaways there again and it's the same it will be the last time.

The chips were soft and soggy. The fish was perfect. Pricer than other fish n chip shop stores.

Biggest pieces of fish in town and he changes the frying oil often so it's nice and clean! And tastes good too!

OMG! Gorgeous fish! The chips are always cooked to perfection, and straightcut too! YUM! Top quality products. Well worth the higher price.

We were hungry for some fish and chips, and didnt think it would be open but it was. It was ok. Had kumara chips unfortunately the fish had alot of hard crunchy batter, and because of the more batter, lost the yummyness of the fish. Fish inside was ok but too much coating.

Wasn't impressed. Hygiene was terrible. Not cool to cough into your hands and play on your phone and then wrap my food up.

Quite expensive considering the amount and quality. A handful of burnt kumara chips for $4.50. And the hygiene was poor - saw the woman play on her phone, wipe her nose with her hand and cough into her hand while preparing our food. Won't be going back.

Just got fish and chips tonight for the first time and we won't go back chips the fish smells and dark colour not nice

A great takeaway shop with the normal range of fish, Chinese foods ecetera. They use oil rather than fat in their fryers, so a little more healthy than the competition. I especially like their crinkle cut chips. Friendly staff you can chat to, if they are not very busy.

Won't go back. Fish ("terakahi"?) tasted stale, chips dry. Shop presentation clean but Fish &chips not good at all.
