Love this place corn fritters are delicious. Was disappointed when a friend got her food brought to her and it wasn’t what she ordered ie.she ordered the chicken burger meal and got a beef salad… the young lady didn’t deal with it very well. She has a lot to learn with how to talk to customers to resolve the problem in a friendly manner. However I still think this place is great and definitely one of my favs in Palmerston North. Love how it is right next to AFC motorcycles too so I can have a browse around there!

Went with a large group for morning tea. Only let down was a piece of cake which was clade wrapped had mould on one side. Some coffees were late to come, or staff had to be reminded of the order. The place wasn't too busy. Otherwise, it's a nice place to come to.

Ordered brunch for 3 at the same time.my friends received their meals 10 mins before me. I waited and no meal appeared so I asked waitress, and she I don't know.
Nothing happened. So I got up again, then it came out cold.asked for refund. A real shame as now 3 people won't be returning. Previously have had a great experience.

Great service and food, beautiful burgers. Coffee is on the smaller side but delicious.
Plenty of seating, layout feels a bit industrial.

Quite on a Friday morning, but nice and warm people and fire. Ideal to do some office work while work is being done at workshop.

Great cafe and friendly staff. Recommend you try this cafe. Food was great and we will be back

Stopped in from Dannevirke to Palmy Hospital, had about 15min spare! Nice looking food. Clean area! But! Ordered Coffee and Hot Chocolate for wife no food as not hungry. Sat down to wait. Then one lady came in and ordered a coffee. Then another lady came in and ordered a coffee about 2 mins later. Guess what both those woman got their coffees before us. Long wait! If we hadn't paid for our drinks we would have walked out. Table service? What a joke! Not going back there! Oh yer 2 other customers came in whilst coffee maker was engaged in conversation with those 2 lady's. They had to wait for ever whilst the talking coffee maker ignored them! Meanwhile there's another woman frittering around in the kitchen. Perhapes serving was below her pay grade? Just made Hospital appointment!

As first time at Cafe 116 all I can say is I will defo call again. Great service and amazing food. BEST Corn fritters ever.my grandson recommended them and he was right

Our first time here was very positive. Huge portion sizes! The seafood chowder was fantastic and my children loved the nachos and burgers they had, although they needed a doggy bag. The only down sides were the difficulty finding a car park, the plastic cups for milk shakes and the poor flavor of my mango smoothie. Staff were friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back, thanks!

Large portion size, you will definitely be full afterwards. Kids menu is a good deal with a drink and meal for $9.50.

Best fish and chips I have tasted I reckon. Great parking. We were there after hours for a pub quiz so the experience was even better because.we won:)

Great choice of food for me, I like basic tasty food, there are choices of fancy food also so suits the 4 of us and a good choice of drinks. Yum now I want to go again. Price wise it is fair.

I have been here many times always enjoyed the experience. Food is really nice, staff are great, overall a lovely spacious cafe, I recommend this cafe to anyone.

Great cafe with excellent coffee and food. The cabinet food is fresh, tasty and well priced. Plenty of free parking. Light and airy cafe with well spaced tables means I feel safer dining there in these socially distanced covid times.

Ordered our food and sat down, realized that we were over charged, so i went up and explained what the amount ahould have been.
The lady was quite rude and said that it was our fault and that we ordered extra chips (which we didn't). Even after explaining that we didn't she was not having it and was rude and was trying to put the blame on is.
Food was ok but tasted a bit strange to be honest.
Definitely not going back because of the customer service.
