Eketahuna Camping Ground reviews
8Really nice and clean campground with awesome facilities not fare from the Highway. Please just get a Honest/Donation box in case somebody doesn't see u. Just as we did. We left you something in you're cleaning area a few days ago and hope you've got. Best regards from Germany and Chilie
Love this little campground, it's so tidy and full of trees and park like ground so you can essentially camp in privacy. There are little paths all through the forest that lead you to the river. It's a great spot to ride through on horseback too!
We can't say enough good things about this campground. Lovely proprietors and lovely grounds. We enjoy going back and always find it friendly and lovely and clean. Wonderful showers (nice and hot). Laundry and kitchen fully equipped.
This is a great spot to camp, park your camper or stay in the cabins. We stayed in the cabins; they also have a great deck to sit on and enjoy your meals. My kids really enjoyed being right on the river (if it is warm enough, you can even swim in the river). It is a very clean campground too, which is great. The bathrooms are amazing; they are just as nice as some of the bathrooms at a few of the 5* hotels I stayed at (not all 5* hotels, but definitely some) : clean, large, great toilets and warm showers, and they even have some soap to use if you forgot yours. It could only be made better if they had a few playground items; that being said, you can take the lovely cliff walk, that starts right at the edge of the property, with wonderful views of the area, and walk into town to the playground across the bridge (or walk to the shops and eateries). Super spot to stay if you want to do the amazing Pukaha Mt. Bruce National Wildlife Centre, just 15 minutes down the road (I highly recommend their night tour!). Dog friendly too, which is always a plus. And a washing machine that is available for use. I really can't believe there weren't more people there! Well run beautiful campground!
It's home, the managers make you feel at home that you don't want to leave
Non powered site $7, powered site $10, cabin $20, free washing machine use, plenty if clothes lines. Free dishwashing liquid, well equipped kitchen, book exchange and touring info area, with free fridges too
