Very busy place, my roast pork and crackle was delicious. Help self to veges and salads. Wait isn't too long.

Always a great place for reasonably priced and delicious food, best to book on a Thursday or Friday night.

Staff need to be more accommodating and need to smile more too many cooks in one kitchen also with a lot of glaring and standing around

Very friendly staff, who are always welcoming. Had a large dish of mussels, plentiful and flavoursome. Nearing the end of the season so get in quick (Wednesdays only).

Stopped in here to have dinner before heading to Wellington. Atmosphere is relaxed. Clientele all polite and welcoming. Service can't be beaten! So polite, made us feel so comfortable! Even the chef's took an interest in our presence with a polite nod and thank you. Food is best value! None of us walked away hungry. Compliments to the chefs for pumping out such well cared for and cooked kai. Compliments to the staff for being welcoming and polite. We will be back. $170 for 7 of us, including dessert! That's value!

Feel this has gone downhill in meals. Our group often gets something wrong with at least one meal. Sometimes meat is slightly burnt or too underdone. Have been given wrong order. Also manager in charge very rude often.

I love coming here. The chef cooks the meals to your specification. The only proble.if there is one.is that the meals are awfully large. I take a container of half of my meal home and have it the following day. Huge thumbs up to Elms Restaurant.

Wow hubby and I had a lovely meal tonight. Lamb shank for me and scotch fillet for him. Cooked to perfection and large portions. Friendly staff and great prices. Will definitely be back.

Visiting Whanganui, this place was a great find. Our roast beef was melt in the mouth! Lovely veges too from the self serve bar. '12/10'

This is an awesome place for a meal. Only downfall is salad bar is not very good.

Great little restaurant. Great service. Great food, reasonably priced. I had the Scotch fillet which just melted in my mouth. My wife enjoyed the Chicken Burger. Can recommend both

Small restaurant at a local club. Good feed as you can help yourself to salads and veg. Help to book in Thursday and Friday.

Very nice meal at a good price. Had roast pork with as much roast veg or salad as desired. Beer and wine also available. Certainly will be back.

Such a pity that the fish that 3 out of the four of our party ordered was not enjoyed. No crispy batter. Oh dear. Not up to the normal standard of food at St John's Club

Love our regular Friday night meals. Always delicious and leave feeling fully satisfied. Affordable and Great for families
