Golden Time Restaurant

For first time experience the menu looked to be very authentic and extensive.
Banquet for 4 people was amazing.

The lady who worked at the restaurant around 5: 30pm to 6: 30pm on 13 Dec 2023 Wednesday, her attitude was too horrible! When we asked for water, she answered badly: " Self service, you have to get the water by yourself! " We have been to that restaurant so many times, there was the other young lady very nice. But today that woman's attitude incredible BAD! The owner of the restaurant should check the camera how that woman 's attitude to the customer on that day! Feel sick about such kind of person treated people badly without any reason!

Overall it's not very good. Food was cold or mildly warm. Some dishes were what you buy from the frozen section of the supermarket. Would not recommend if you are looking for yumcha

The best place to have authentic Chinese noodles, their spicy beef brisket noodles is amazing! All noddles are handmade and very chewy. Strongly recommended!

First and last time here. Our group was put into a side room and I'm sure we were forgotten about unacceptable to arrive at 6pm and no food until 8.20pm after several reminders to the staff. Only bright side was the food was acceptable. We even had to pay for the doggy bags. So no I wouldn't recommend this place for a good night out.

The most amazing meal and such great service. There are so many options to suit everyone. I love that the menu has big colourful pictures of each dish on the menu.

Outstanding. I had sizzling beef dish.out of this world. Best beef dish I've ever eaten.

Oh my god ahh! I LOVE this place.my chinese coworker introduced me to here one day & i tried mapo tofu for the first time ever.now i always order mapo tofu and rice for me and my nan too eat together! They are seriously so kind & understanding.ive tried mapo tofu from other places since but nothing is better than the one at Golden Time Restaurant <3

haha and then i wished that my favorite song from teresa teng would play & then it did like a minute later

Lamb ribs, lemon chicken, dumplings, spring rolls, vegetable fried rice all these dishes would highly recommend definitely will go back

Got the worst case of food poisoning from here. Do not buy food from here, they should be closed down

I only go here for special occassion, they have good quality food and its always fresh.only downside is its pricey but you get what you pay for.

Will never go here again.
Chicken fry rice was bland and stodgy.sweet n sour pork smelled so bad we couldn't eat it.indescribable, smelled like chemicals. Gross.

Disappointing:
- the 3 dishes that we ordered, although large portions, were a huge let down in taste and quality: the stir fried veg had absolutely no flavor to it, the sweet/sour potato dish had a bad smell/ tasted disgusting; the ho fun noodle was dry and basic (photos on the menu are a misrepresentation of the food you are served)
- overpriced
- lack of attentive customer service by staff
- no complimentary tea
Waste of money, will not go here again.

This place has great ambience, is clean & offers mainly Northern Chinese cuisines & Yum Cha in their menu.

However, I gave it 3 stars because of my penchant for Cantonese cuisines and the supposedly Cantonese style Yum Cha dishes we ordered failed miserably. This is not the place for such.

This is my first time there it is nice and quiet and it at a good price for the low to medium income. Please come a try it out you like it a lot.

Outstanding Chinese food I’ve eaten in Palmerson North. Peppered chicken is to die for Service was genuinely friendly and efficient with plenty of free parking outside. Hidden gem in Palmy well worth a visit

Easily top 3 Chinese restaurant in Palmerston North! Don’t be fool by it’s quietness, it is actually reallly good food. It is fairly underrated and highly recommend their lamp chop and pork bao buns!
Would recommend having dinner here, not for dim sum. Service wasn’t bad when I visited!
