Food was under average and over price. Also the service was terrible and some of them rude. Will not be back

The food is overpriced and not much of it! The pretentious owners are lacking in keeping staff, they own 2 other local cafes that shut early ever day due to not enough staffing. She was extremely rude to my 16 year old teen. No wonder the word around locally is not great! I've never given such a negative review it doesn't even deserve the one star to be honest. The beach doesn't need a pretend high end restaurant! Simply balmy was at least simple but good! 3 establishments I'll be avoiding!

Stopped for a quick coffee. Sadly its was colder than luke warm. This was not a quality establishment.

Pleasant garden bar area.
Excellent waitress service.

Way over priced poor service had more coffee in my saucer than the cup $26.00 for two cups of coffee and a plate of chips along with a milk shake that was not even mixed it was so bad my grandson could not drink it. On top of that service was rubbish the girl serving us seemed to not give a toss, poor service rubbish food we won't be back!

The service was excellent, the styling was cool, but the food was abysmal. Really, really bad. The chicken was so dry I want to be vegan in future, and the promised bok choy practically non-existant to the point of garnish on the cheap bulk of rice. I dont remember rice mentioned on the menu, but there was a lot of it. The scotch filet was tough and gristly. Bland sides. Might I also mention the state of the loos? Not good. Enough said.

I had the most awful burger I've ever had, i don't know what was in there but i couldn't chew through it and returned it, I wasn't even offered a coffee or a drink.totally appalling.won't be back.

Sorry.perhaps you were having a bad day but there were hardly any customers in the place at 10.30am and it still took 1 hour for our food to arrive and then it wasn't hot.not even close.and served on cold plates. Presentation was OK so one star for that and coffee was OK although the hand putting cups on the table had dirt under his finger nails. Coffee was free as compensation so credit for that but we won't be coming back.

No one served us after 15 minutes so i then went to the counter and was told to go back and sit down and someone would come and serve us waited another 5 minutes and left there were more staff then customers on.

Good atmosphere, customer service was decent could have been better but may have been due to it been fairly busy, half an hour wait on cocktails which were inconsistent when ordering 2 of the exact same drinks they tasted complete different and came in different glasses, unsure why?
Fish and chips meal was okay but don't bother buying a side salad it was literally just rocket salad with a bit of pickled onion in it.
Sharing platter was disappointing for the price.
Overall was a pretty average experience that was well overpriced

Was always highly5 stars rated but has slipped a bit last couple of visits in food staff and thats disappointing

Disappointed. Came here after travelling 15km to find that they had run out of food in restaurant. Went to bar. Sorry the kitchen closes at 6pm. It was 6.12pm.

Attentive and friendly staff but my Italian clam dish was gritty so lower score. Great sauce though. The salmon with poached eggs looked good.

Food was ok. You can take beer bottles and drinks to the outside eating spaces but not coldrinks. These need to be poured in a glass so you don't get the whole drink. Weird system.

Lovely place, staff engaging and really nice. Food however very average, little dissapointing: (

I went to OBE last night. Fabulous service and our main meals were delicious. However dessert was just plain mean. Ice cream sundae was poorly presented. They were supposed to be strawberry sundaes. You would be pushing it to say there was even one teaspoon of very runny strawberry syrup in the bottom of a glass with one sloppy scoop of vanilla ice cream and a slop of whipped cream. Looked totally unappealing. Please learn how to make a nice sundae.

Service was excellent thank you. Was hoping to have a seafood option as a dinner main (being so close to the beach) but was able to have a seafood entree as a main.
My party was underwhelmed with their choices I found out well after the fact - the terakihi was very thin under the crusty batter for the fish and chips, the lamb shanks would have been better had they been cooked longer.
Otherwise good atmosphere, the live music was nice and not too loud for where we were placed in the restaurant.
A few more creative options on the kids menu would go far, as the pasta special on the adult menu was far too sophisticated for them, but they're not so keen on deep fried stuff most restaurants do (fish bites, hot dogs, chicken tenders all with chips).

Was ok. Stopped in on a roady. Kid friendly and even had games to keep them occupied. Staff are friendly but prices are a little high

Beautiful customer service, stunning setting, strange that salad would cost extra however was very nice meal. Cocktails are great! Fish bowls aren't so fish bowly. But would definitely go back again.

Good bar food. The Restaurant food is a bit on the pricey side in my opion for what it is and it would be nice to have a pasta option. Great customer service and all served in a timely manner
