Rangra's Indian Cuisine reviews
38Only 1 star for atmosphere as it's a takeaway and not a place to sit down and eat at. The three curries we had from here were very good, tasty and good chicken, moist and succulent. However 3 curries and three nann's was over $80, so not cheap, (but not overly expensive either). The killer question, would i go again, yes (when i can afford it)
Got a lamb madras…. No where near a madras at all. I feel like even if you got a madras from a jar would be better
These Indians have no clue about different cuisines and flavours thorough out India
Amateurs pretending to be chefs/cooks
Thier shop would not last a week in south Auckland lol
Not even close…. You wannabes
I recently ordered a chicken roll for takeaway lunch, hoping for the delightful taste of India's street food style. Unfortunately, what I received was far from my expectations. Instead of the flavorful combination of tender chicken, fresh salad, and spices wrapped in a soft naan bread, I got a disappointing dish. It was essentially chicken curry awkwardly tucked inside naan bread with plain rice, lacking the essence of a true chicken roll. It felt like the chef had never experienced the authentic joy of a chicken roll or perhaps a change in the dish's name is in order to avoid misleading expectations.
Not my first visit but first major disappointment. Some of my rice was not fully cooked & the lamb was old & not as tender as they used to be.
Best Indian Restaurant. Love this place and the food is just awesome. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food is really good with good quantity.
Staff is very friendly specially Parveen. Definitely recommended.
Family takeaway meals were great, korma, butter chicken and apricot chicken plus Nana breads
I hate giving bad reviews, but this place was totally disappointing. Worst butter chicken I’ve ever had. Tasted like canned soup with a cup and a half of sugar added to it. All 3 curries were sweet tasting. The bahji was not good. The “‘mini” samosas are basically frozen super market food. Nothing we ordered was remotely good. I would NEVER eat here again.
The Butter chicken was the best yet, very generous with serving sizes, well worth the money. 2 scoops of chips is more like 3 scoops, all and all a A+ experience everytime
Best Chicken Korma in town, the kids said the same for the Butter Chicken. Will definitely be making this our regular Indian takeaways!
This place varies in quality. Some days, the chicken is slimy, some days dry, some days moist. It's a hit and miss.
Absolutely delicious and lots of it. Not like you get elsewhere with small portion at high price. Been first time customer visited 3 times in 5 weeks. I will be going back.
Signs say $12 for wraps but they’re $20! If enquire they say it’s for a small however their sign signifies no details
Ordered the 3 large curry, w naan and a drink. Good value for money (fed 3 adults and 3 kids, w leftovers). 4 naan & rice was plenty.
Curries were flavorful and appropriate heat for what was ordered.
Whole family enjoyed it.
Decent curries. The curries were somewhat diluted. Tandoori was pretty good. Not bad, but definitely not the best in the town.
Best butter chicken in town! Good price comparatively. The place owner is very friendly as well.
By far the best curry in town. Delicious and generous amount of meat given. Rangra’s is not one of those places to only give you 5 pieces of chicken.
The Signature Rangra curry was top quality amazing as well as the naan. Customer service, amazing. Will definitely up the ante next time from kiwi hot lol
Butter chicken far to sweet the vindaloo was salty as f.over priced for what I payed.i be going else where.
