What a fantastic view from this lookout point. Beautiful huge distant views in every direction. Plenty of room for a large vehicle to pull over.

I loved the this wee pitstop. It was a super clear day and I could see both Mt Taranaki and Mt Ruapehu.

Good views and nice spot to stretch the legs. Just be careful if you're heading towards Fielding when leaving, there's a blind corner that stops being able to see any traffic coming from that direction.

A very beautiful place to stop at and look at the view. There is a bench to sit and enjoy chat/food with friends/family.

Such an amazing vantage point, you can see so much. Even on a dull & windy day like this trip, it was still worth getting out of the car & having a look. Car park being so close to the lookout is even better, esp when other family didnt want to get out, you could still be within sight.

Great lookout, saw the lower part of Ruapehu peaking under the cloud. It's a good stop to stretch your legs and get fresh air on a long drive

Beautiful sweeping views. A very good stopping point on the way to Taupo. Only this missing was a hot cup of coffee.

Great stop.you must be tired of driving the tight corners.so take a break. Let the view do the magic. Sure some low reviews.rain.wind. Just some ordinary landscape.but on a good day you can spot Mt Taranaki and Mt Ruapehu at the same time. (As we did). Magical lookout. IG #stormypointlookout

This lookout gives you a grand view of the Manawatu and Rangitikei region, with possible views of Mt Ruapehu, Ngaruhoe and Taranaki on a clear day. Worth the stop when traveling north from Feilding.

Incredible vista on Highway 54. Great place for an impromptu pitstop on this quiet stretch of road. Can see for kms in every direction, with signage to help you identify points of interest.

A great place to relax and take a breather, definitely worth a sunset view however I suspect it looks great any time of the day

Got shot here.
Pretty good round, wasn't a hollowpoint thank god! Some dogs were barking and I think it was targeted. Either way I made it to the chopper so it's fine.

Lookout was pretty good too!

Amazing views. We could make out Mt Taranaki Mt Rheuapheau in the distance. Well worth a look on a good weather day.

You can't help but stop here, it has an amazing view, and on clear day you will be able to see the mountain off in the distance.

Nice view for taking a quick rest on long driving. It is on the middle of the winding mountain road.

Picked the day and the views are just spectacular. On a good clear day you will spot all the mountains on the volcanic plateau. Break up a trip north with a stop at this Lookout. You won't be disappointed, even on a dull day.

Scenic drive through the Cheltenham hills to Palmy, friendly people there, vast views with little lambs scattered over the countryside, plenty of fresh air at Stormy point.

Absolutely stunning lookout, just by the road side, can't make it easier to access. Got lucky to be here on a clear day and that was gorgeous!

Beautiful scenery, good rest stop to stretch and take in the views. Winding roads lead there/away.

Great view on clear day, could be made better by removing sign that makes it difficult to get photos
