Phoned to a make non urgent appointment - today is the 29/5/2023 - the officious office person at Dannviereke - I was aiming for an appointment in Pahiatua- offered one in October, I asked if I could be put through to Pahiatua office - that was a no - but the duty nurse could phone me from the Pahiatua Med Centre would phone me back - who I would have thought would had better things to do than make me an appointment (that was non urgent). A receptionist at the office (Pahiatua) should realistically be able to make appointments. Now I am waiting for the duty nurse to phone me back! I seriously consider the effectivness of meeting the needs of the rural people considering the absolute waste of time and energy for staff and paitients trying ot get an appointment.

Wife got a major tooth ache and phoned dentist couldn’t get an appointment, dentist advice her to get antibiotics for the tooth she phoned nurse at the health centre who said she will get her a prescription for the next day. In the meantime she had to deal with this tooth ache. Phone the pharmacy this morning only to find that the prescription not ready yet. Phone the health centre again and they say it will be ready this afternoon. In the meantime still unbelievable pain. Just got a call from the medical centre to say they can’t give the prescription and that there is open clinic in Hastings and Palmerston North. We will close the file at this hopeless health centre and move to somewhere else. Poor service
