The Cyprus Tree Restaurant & Bar reviews
62Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Cyprus Tree. The service and hospitality was excellent and the meals were all delicious and beautifully presented. The lads in our group enjoyed the games while the ladies could enjoy a wine and chat. We’ll definitely be returning, I hope the ikamata & beetroot salad is still on the menu. Thanks team Cyprus Tree
Delicious food. Warm atmosphere cos of the cosy fireplace. Friendly staff. Loved my dinner there
Amazing dinner with friendly staff. We tried the Salmon with cauliflower rice and the Smoked Brisket. Both delicious (with the Brisket winning). If you’re looking for a great place for a dinner In Ohakune, we definitely recommend this place.
Great venue, great staff, great food. Maybe needs a menu refresh, have been here a lot over the years and it hasn't really changed.
Staff were so friendly and lovely. Food was AMAZING! And we got to sit by the beautiful fire. So relaxing. Highly recommend!
One of the best family meals we've had in ages. Amazing food, including two perfect steaks, very helpful around food allergies, great spaces for the children, and a roaring fire which was so welcome on a cold evening.
Arrived and went to take a seat only to find I sat in a puddle of water. I said this was very poor and was told a family had been sitting there and I could go somewhere else. Customer relationship poor.
Went with three people in total. Had a pork rib. Three mains with siroin steak, lamb and mushroom risotto and each main were the best of it's kind. Pork ribs were so tender. Friendly staffs and warm environment. Will come again and recommend to others!
Love the ambience of this restaurant, it has a welcoming and homely feel. I had pork belly, roast potatoes and a raspberry bramble cocktail.all were absolutely delicious. Staff are super attentive even while busy! Couldn’t fault a thing
I came in here to dine in here for a main, by myself. Unfortunately I didn't think to book the table and succumbed to a full restaurant, until a table became available later that night. They did put me up at the bar and allowed me to eat something of the smaller dish menu and it was delicious. The staff were also friendly and asked how I was going during my time here. Pretty cool.
Nice and cozy place, but the pork belly I ordered was uneatable. It literally was like a brick on the plate, so so hard. Had to ask the waiter for another knife and she said it was the best they had. It wasn't good enough. Can't cut it and can't chew it. Other dishes might be better, but that's my experience.
Delicious food and a warm and hearty atmosphere at this restaurant. A worthwhile stop for amazing food
After waiting over 1.25 hours our meal had not arrived. People who had come in after us were eating. The guy who took our order was incompetent. He couldn't multi task. We left in frustration. We will never go back.
Awesome place and a bit of a surprise in Ohakune. Really great food and nice atmosphere. The risotto is amazing.
Food was just lovely and great menu. The service was very good and efficient. Will definitely return
Best tasting meal I had in my three months stay (so far) in New Zealand. Also note that I rewarded myself with this meal after completing a 3 day hike in Tongariro. Tastebuds might be biased.
Good food, friendly staff who were very attentive to the food allergies in our party.
A good play area for the kids.
Food was delicious. Service was exceptional. We had the bread, dips, pork belly and lamb rump. The chutneys really made the bread and dips, there was a good dip to bread ratio (important). I loved my lamb, it was a decent portion and was full of goodness. We had been mountain biking all day so this was the cherry on top for an awesome dinner!
The food is great as usual, service is fantastic - friendly staff and the knowledge of the food and wines served is totally on spot. The atmosphere is comfortably open. Thank you to all the staff for yet another fantastic meal and evening.
