Le Café reviews
73Do not go there. Service very poor and food was worse. Should have read the reviews they obviously have not taken anything on board.
Would not go back! Warm coffee after asking for extra hot. Ordered Garlic Mushrooms with bacon, probably x3 small button mushrooms quartered, more fried cabbage than mushrooms abs x3 small measly pieces of bacon. Saving grace were the poached eggs.
DO NOT RECOMMEND! WHOLE PKACE LACKS PERSONALITY.
Well stood there waiting like someone's who'd being ordered and not picked up.
Staff didn't even look up and acknowledge we where there.skills guys
I asked are you still serving. It was 2pm
Well said the scruffy looking chef
We have beer sticks tapping the jar in front of him or biscuits tapping that Jar.
Wow rude much.
They have to be French my next thought.
If it wasn't for the fact we where so hungry and the beautiful view we would moved on
Has to be the worst place I've ever had the displeasure of eating at
Peter Toyne
Had
Amazing view of the waterfront
Friendly staff, service a bit slow
Cakes were very nice, walnut tart a highlight
I gave 5 stars not because La cafe deserve them but to get my point at the most relevant review about how rude the staff were when we arrived today.
It was 2 pm, the place was empty and they left us standing at the door! Three staff members were talking amongst themselves and not one acknowledged us! We awkwardly asked if they were serving and the older guy made a joke about us having beer sticks or biscuits, tapping the jars in a condescending manner.
We took a menu and made our own way to a table. We sat there for ages before we realised we needed to go up and order.
The staff all need a lesson in customer service. They were quite honestly rude and smug! Not one hello, smile, word or thank you at anytime.
The location is beautiful but thats it.
They forgot to charge us for our coffee and we went back to pay and he didn’t as much give a continental. No thanks, no nothing
I still can’t believe in these testing times their service was abysmal!
Very disappointed in the antipasto. For $28 there was very little, the (only) 4 tiny slices of bread were very dry, the pastrami? Was dry and the brushetto? (Dried bacon) was all fat
Best service in town, great atmosphere, great food, were very flexible due 6o my allergies and such a fantastic sunny view of the sounds!
Really nice atmosphere. Great little Cafe overlooking the Picton harbour. Good service, great food and awesome coffee. We even scored a complimentary sample of the home made chilly sauce.
No cooked food after lunch available. Not interested in providing anything other than cabinet food and not providing any solutions or flexibility.
Great spot! Good food, excellent coffee. Wi-Fi available as well. Great place to get a few hours of work done.
Got our order wrong, but did re do and gave us what we ordered. Over heard an argument in the kitchen about it between staff, which made us uncomfortable
Perfect place to look out across the Bay, food good, service - just ok, don't really make you feel that welcome
A fabulous dining experience with great views. We had breakfast here: porridge for him and bagel with cream cheese and jam for me. Very good coffee. Then we returned for lunch: mussels for me, raw fish for him. All very well made and presented. What a joy this place is!
Very nice cafe with a great view of the harbor and the sound. Delicious cakes.
Very pleasant background music and very acceptable prices. Great live music on a regular basis.
Best café in town!
Only stopped off for a coffee and small breakfast, but was brilliant quality and even better music playlist to go with it! Prime location if you want a good backdrop with your morning mocha.
Top knock coffee (Havana) and delicious cooked breakfast.
Banging tunes and views! Oh the views!
Very little choice for gf people & chef wasnt willing to make a requested omelette. Long wait for food but coffee was great
Worst breakfast I've ever eaten. Had big breakfast that was anything but. Definitely overpriced for what was on the plate and everything was cut in to small pieces ie bacon sausage mushrooms. Sausage was chorizo which I said leave on plate as hubby will eat it. Told them I don't do spicy food. Because it was all cut up and cooked together the spicy taste was right through it. Would advise never to eat here.
ANZAC day, about 3 cafes open, people everywhere. There were 3 events on this weekend in Picton, this cafe had 1 chef in the kitchen, 45 minute wait for food and half hour wait for coffee. Not sure where their heads were knowing it was going to be chaos, couldn't keep up with demand and obviously did nothing to prepare for it, must of been the first year it has been open on ANZAC day. Cant comment on the food or coffee as didn't want to be waiting for an hour.
Great coffee at good price. The vibe is relaxed and friendly. The view out to Picton Harbour delightful. Best cafe in Picton.
