34I take away stars for the service. Two people took care of us, a boy, blond hair, was very nice. The other, a dark-haired girl (around 20 I think) was really hateful. She saw that we were not native English speakers but made no effort to communicate. Every time we asked her something she rolled her eyes to show that it pissed her off. I have rarely had such bad service from anyone, too bad. Employers would do well to review who they employ.
Ya know what I really wanted for lunch? McDonalds. What I got instead was the best Subway I’ve had anywhere in NZ.
I had one of the most incredible customer service experiences of my life in this Subway, and almost a decade on, the memory still brings me joy.
Some mates and I were stuck in Picton for a week (long story) and when the subject of trainhopping to get home sparked up, we figured we'd get some Subway for breakfast and pose as hungry tourists while scoping out the rail yard. Well, I was in for a treat.
I asked the young lady working there - the only one in the shop to service not just us, but a bunch of hungry patronage - if I could order something custom, and she replied, "You can have it any way you like! "
So I enquired more, asking if I could perhaps have a footlong sub with, say, a breakfast menu pick on one side, and a lunch on the other - to which she sternly and slowly replied, while maintaining eye contact, "Sir, you can have it any way you like. "
I proceeded to order a footlong Italian herbs and cheese monstrosity of a sub with bacon and eggs on one side, topped with meatballs and smoked cheese, and pork riblet, 3 pepper chicken, bacon, double cheddar cheese, and every salad on the other. Told her to charge me whatever was necessary and she just grinned and shook her head.
Only cost me about $40 and was such a hilariously great moment that I'm giving you a 5 star rating again now, just for hiring that chick. She'll probably never see this, but what an absolute legend - Subway Picton will always be one of my favorite breakfast blowout experiences.
The people serving make this place worth going to, so friendly and kind! Really great customer service
Food was alright, staff member had a go at me but could of been having and of day (there was a lot of orders in front of me) so not bad
Disgusting subway. My sandwich was awful. It was squished and broken up. Not only that, the boy sneezed whilst preparing the food then never washed his hands properly.
Great service, was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, especially considering all the other negative comments. 7.2/8.9, would definitely recommend.
The young woman serving me looked like she didn't want to be there, she was rude throughout. Maybe she was just having a bad day. I've been to Subway many times around the country and this was by far my worst experience
Best gluten free subway wrap I’ve had to date! The lady today 4th October at 11.30am made the wrap so well and folded to perfection! So enjoyable to eat without stuff falling everywhere
I have been here a few times and most of the staff are lovely except for one lady, she is the manager I believe she is always very rude to me. Time to get a better, kinder manager I’d say
Maybe the server was having a bad day but the whole exchange was awkward and silent.like i said evening and he just stared at me until i said what i wanted.i got the sandwich toasted the meatballs were really cold haha maybe he took it out early because he wanted me to leave earlier.kinda sucked quick service though
ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORD. Ladies who served mentioned she is not being rude but admitted. However, horrible customer services. Is that my colour of skin!? Front & behind white customers with smile but WHY so rude with us. IF YOU ARE WITH DIFFERENT SKIN COLOUR OR ACCENT PLEASE BE WARNED. I rather go hungry but never-never again that subway. WE HAD VERY NEGATIVE FEELING ABOUT SUBWAY. Love it but. Maybe not subway if there is any choice.
Two star off for customer service experience. We should not tell or shout at customers. We can communicate nicely. The sub is the same as expected. The Subway is located at a convenient place, you won't miss it. There is lot of sitting space inside and outside. However, we only could sit outside because of Covid restrictions. There is few parking spot in front of Subway but you can park on the right where the Blenheim i-site. The place was not that busy and I did not had to wait for my sub.
Rude welcome, rude instructions. Although decent sized store. No inside or outside seating, although orange Covid level. Only one nice staff member in store and that was one that did till
Good food but 50/50 on the service. The young lady that took the order from my kids was excellent though.

They’re an asset to the company and to the whole fast food industry. They’re the epitome of customer service. To the owners of Subway Picton, treat them with dignity and respect, their talents and personality can put income in your banks. I gained a friend thru them and I have more reasons to visit picton because of them Once again, take care of employees like them. (I would keep an update with her once in a while)
The man who served me was informative with his menu while I was trying to decide what to have and he was kind and chirpy. He also gave me a free cookie. I will definitely be returning, one of the best subway experiences I've had. Thanks for caring mate
