Comida - Pizza Paella & Pasta

Really nice cafe and deli in Nelson. The coffee is good, it is licensed and has a good range of counter food plus a cook to order menu. The deli has mainly Italian and French food and wines along with an excellent selection of New Zealand and European cheeses.

The store is 5 star. Nice to get one-off European items in New Zealand. The food was okay 4/5. Service was good and this place is huge so is nice for lunch. Music was a bit loud so hard to take a call or have a meeting. Pricing was fair.

What a great place to shop for speciality foods and gifts.
The Cafe in the same shop is also great. A nice place for a bruschetta and a glass of montepulciano or one of the tasty pizzas.
Definitely worth a visit if you are in town.

I just don't feel right if I miss Thursday half price pizza night. Edit. Thursday pizzas are gone and I've subsequently returned to Dunedin, a miserably cold but picturesque town I swore I would never return to. Check out my Dunedin therapist reviews coming soon

Catch up lunch with a colleague, I had lemony zucchini pasta. Very yummy. Highly recommended.

Decent half priced large pizzas on a Thursday (with a decent selection of toppings). Can't really complain when they're ~$12. Great service also.

Great coffee and good, light menu. But the market is why to come! Hard to find Italian bits and pieces make a chefs life easier.

Been coming for years for the Ciabatta. Must've changed the dough as the exquisite taste is no longer.

This is a huge place, lots of seating and a good selection of cabinet and menu food. Pretty popular judging on how packed the place was.
We choose the haloumi salad which was really delicious with big chunks of cheese in it, followed with a apple muffin with pieces of apple through it.
Glad we stopped here.

For all those pizza lovers in Nelson I have found the best wood fired pizza. If you like pizza Hutt or Dominoes this is not for you. Its seriously good and half price on Thursday evenings

Kind, polite and professional staff. Loved the raw onions on the pizza! It's pretty busy on your half price pizza day, so make sure you make a booking! The pizza is good but I probably wouldn't say it's amazing.

I was so looking forward to mum & myself having lunch there yesterday, however the music was so loud cannot walk in and ask them to turn it down.

I came here on Thursday night for 1/2 price pizza night. It was the best pizza ever. Service was good to and they were very friendly. The chef Luca is originally from Italy and he knows how to make amazing Italian cuisine. Started with wines, then the pizzas. After we had the Tiramisu and Afogato for dessert, delicious!

Will be back to try the other items on the menu! 5/5

Unfortunately the restaurant did not meet my expectations. The only vegan item on the Menu was vegan chocolate cake. There were Vegan cook books but no vegan food.

Devine food and friendly welcoming staff. Would definitely dine here again when next in Nelson.

Firstly, what is on the menu is not necessarily what you can order. This was disappointing. The pizzas were passable but the rest of the food was bland and ordinary. The service was good but was the only highlight. Wouldn't go back!

Great food, great wine, great chat with the owner and maitre d' plus I got to wander about in the deli after hours like a proper 1%er and buy further delicious things. Highly recommended.

Good food, good coffee, service ok. A wee bit perplexed that the smoked salmon could not be grilled. Every other cafe we have been to is able to do this. But it’s not a biggie, just confusing.
