Bennetts Cafe

Poor. Ordered food and coffee. Coffee and sweets served 10 minutes before lunch and only half the lunch served. Upon asking about the rest of lunch we got “sorry kitchen is closed” poor poor poor

I had a fantastic experience at Bennet's Cafe! The food was delicious, and the ambiance was lovely. It was bustling with people when we went, which added to the lively atmosphere.

We love Bennetts. The place looks amazing with a Mediterranean style architecture, and a nice covered and uncovered patio. The chocolaterie is quite an experience, where you can see how they make their delicious chocolates and buy one or many (there's samples too!). The cafe is worth a visit, very decently priced, and delicious food. The mocha came with a chocolate pop nice touch!

Always a happy visit to Bennetts, there is the added bonus of the chocolate factory of course but overall it's always good food and good service.

Quick and delicious recommendation is the pre-made chicken sandwich - best value, tasty. Despite the location and nice deco, the staff is nice and helpful. Chocolate dishes are nice. Atmosphere is really nice.

Average drink and food. Kitchen closed on Tuesday. Staffs are not friendly. No signs to specify where you could have dogs.

Not worth visiting here from Auckland.

Great coffee. Awesome Eggs (Bennet) Benedict. Real chocolate hot chocolate. Love this place. Every time I am in mangawhai I am in here. Make sure you swing in to the chocolate store also and pick up a little something.

This is our go-to brunch date, and the place we take anyone visiting. Not only is it a beautiful building and atmosphere, but the service is great and the staff are so friendly and warm. Even when really busy we got our food pretty quickly. I consider myself something of a french toast connoisseur, and this is hands down the best ive had! We were luck enough to meet and share a table with the owner, what an incredible family story, so humble and welcoming. We always get a choc treat after for the trip home, and the health shop has some amazing local produce thats worth checking out. We would eat here everyday if we could, 10/10 all round, service, food, vibe, hospitality, good coffee and an amazing family story that binds it all together, see you again soon!

Got the Wagyu Burger + fries and a coffee. Coffee came really quick and the burger within 10mins. Beautiful burger and a good coffee.

Excellent coffee, hot chocolate with dipping chocolate stick, the best date scone for a long while and a delicious caramel slice. All in a great setting.

Wonderful setting and atmosphere. The food is a bit blunt and portions are small. Would recommend just coffee and/or some chocolates.

We came here after our surf lesson at Te Arai beach and wow! We went from the beach straight to Italy beautiful cafe in a stunning setting makes you feel like you are overseas. I had the feta and pea fritters with youghurt and kale, YUM!

There is also a choclate shop, a surf shop and a wellness store all in the same building. A must visit when you next in Mangawhai!

As a regular im shocked. After an undrinkable Chai Latte, it was returned letting the guy know. He didnt give a!
My mum said could we have another, his reaction was "I'll CONSIDER IT"

Lovely decore and staff. Would b good to get more variety GF hot food. But on the whole nice place

We travelled from Germany to NZ to visit my sister and had our first NZ breakfast at Bennetts.
Breakfast was super tasty and filling.
I feel the price was reasonable, the location was cozy and the service was good.
All in all a great restaurant.

Coffee was good, waited for 20 minutes for the 2 scones had to ask when they were coming out the girls were yakking rather than serving.the cafe was not busy.date scone was nice savory scone had 1 small piece of onion and a flick of green parsley.needs some management

Have been to Bennetts a few times now. Food is always delicious, and the staff today 24/5/22 were so lovely and friendly. Certainly makes a difference having such great customer service to go with your coffee. Thanks

I went out for lunch and got this "Wagyu beef burger" unfortunately it was the driest beef patty I've ever had and didn't taste like wagyu beef, on top of that the bun was soggy. Can't say I remember this place for food.
On the bright side the coffee I had was nice and the stuff we're very lovely.

You'd think you're in Tuscany in this amazing Cafe.a must is their signature hot chocolate and the coffees are great too! My favourite is half serve of the eggs bene with salmon.and a sweet treat from the cabinet to go before popping over to Bennetts Chocolatier for some nicies. My top five for Mangawhai
