Blokes Barber

Walked in & sat down on the wait area for 10 mins and we got seen too. I showed a reference photo to our barber sat down my nephew in the chair, he got straight into it. Our barber was patient with my nephew (7) always asking him questions which I appreciate. 25 minutes later he got exactly what he asked for and he was so excited and over the moon. Thank you for his cut!

Best service and haircut in town! What a great, friendly and welcoming vibe at the shop, awesome chats and 5star business owned and run by locals. Whangarei CBD is lucky to have Blokes Barber, there aren’t many local places where men of all backgrounds, cultures and ages can talk and connect while getting a quality cut

Short cut on top graded into a 3 and then a 2 on the sides was what I asked for, but cut was very uneven (some of the sides are longer and some patches looking bald, and I'm not losing hair). The only worse hair cut I have ever had was when someone slipped and left a completely bald patch. Tempted to go somewhere else now to get it all shaved off so it's "fixed". So hard finding a consistently good barber in whangarei, I won't go back here.

Took my 6yo boy for a cut and he absolutely loves it, barber was excellent with dealing with a nervous child that finds it hard to sit still

Took my son in today 13th bday.no service with a smile told to just sit outside and wait so did.she didn't really listen or care to listen to what cut I was trying to explain just took a quick look at the photo n said yeah swt.she said 20 mins I came back cut was done they were closed she charged my son $40 he said it was 10mins but he liked it cz it was fast.didnt look like the pic looked just like a fade no product.was disappointed won't be going back so hard to find a barber who does it all good service n great affordable fast haircuts!

Absolutely rude! Walked in with my son and partner never been to a barber got told get outside wait there till your called… nah bro ill find somewhere else where im being spoken to nicer. Not a smile or kind face in there to help us new bees out….

Me my partner and her son went in for hair cut and we all got the worst hair cut no love put in to it and got charged 35 dollars each for the cost of the hair cuts was not werth the job they done.not going back there any more

Took my 7 year old, he told them what he wanted and they made it even cooler. Great service and nice and fast.

Young female who did my babes hair charged $40 for a rough mess. Left hair all over my babes face, ears, neck and even under his shirt. Didn't tidy or give it a crisp line across the front and missed a 20cent piece size of hair near his ears and patches across the back of the neck. Attitude was pretty lame. Won't be coming back and won't recommend to others either. Disappointed. Like she just wanted it over and done with. No pride.

Had easily the worst haircut here. She didn’t care at all. Hacked at my hair and seemed to just want to get it over with. When I asked for more work to be done she argued against it and I just decided to get out and never go back again. Actually surprised at how bad it was. I’ve done better cuts on my own hair. I’m not the type to leave negative reviews but this was so bad it needed to be said Have some more pride in your mahi or don’t bloody do it at all.

Excellent service for my young boy on the autism spectrum. First haircut ever without a meltdown. Amazing.

Expensive compared to others, especially for a number 1 when I was sporting a 3 or4 at the time. Won't be going back.

Got to shop minutes after 1pm today (closing time) and rang to ask if they were able to squeeze in one more cut for my son as customers were still in the shop.

Was told in an uninterested manner that no, they couldn't as they had already packed up and left. I could see them through the window!

My two boys had their ferral hair cut by 2 different barbers. It was excellent! Fantastic family run buisness! High recommendations from me and my boys! And a few laughs from the chat going on. Thank you!

At first I was quite surprised how fast they finished the haircuts of the other customers before me and I didn't have to wait long even though there were 4 other customers before me. However, when it was my turn and they asked me what I wanted, I showed them a picture of myself with the exact haircut I wanted and even explained it to them (and it is a quite simple haircut: short on the sides and back, a transition on the left side, a light cut on the right side and abit longer on top). Despite that, they managed to mess it up so much that I'm actually thinking about just going with a buzz cut.
But to make the experience perfect, they didn't even try concentrating on the job they were doing but rather decided to stop working every few minutes to have a chat with their daughter about what she should text her boyfriend.
All in all, the worst haircut I have ever gotten along with one of the worst customer services.

Took my 4 year old son in the morning. Very quick, just what I asked for. Only $20. They have TVs and comfy seats which is great for while you wait. No awkward bar stools or seats the main road like our old barber had.

Did a completely different design to what I requested. Was NOT even. Over priced. NOT going back!
