Bunnings Mangawhai

Limited stock and a couple of staff members who prefer to talk to each other rather than help a customer (man and woman). YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
I got more friendliness from a customer who looked like he was working there.

I went and got a broom and found what I wanted in seconds. So easy. I love that it's here in Mangawhai and will be buying more things when I can. Staff are awesome and shop is clean and tidy.

Coming along nicely as a new store with so many initially unexperienced staff. They are quickly catching on to customers using the app to check out. Special orders desk getting the hang of it. So good to finally have a Bunning store in Mangawhai. Placemakers finally on the back foot. Hopefully will see better competitive prices from Placemakers. But meanwhile finally have great choice, awesome prices and friendly staff at Bunnings. Yah!

Yesterday, my husband and 3 children made our way down to Auckland from Whangarei, and had to pass by Mangawhai due to road works and detours. As we were passing right next to Bunnings, my little toddler said 'Mummy, I have a tummy ache' and starter squirming in her car seat. My husband suggested to take her to the bathroom at Bunning since we were literally outside the store. As soon as I opened the door to get my girl, she exploded car-sick spewing everything and everywhere on herself, car seat, car interior, her clothes, my clothes - it was a MESS!
I carried her and rushed inside the store not even knowing what to do. The lovely lady saw me coming with a crying wet shivering toddle and immediately (without me having to say a word) pointed at the aisle where the toilets are. I was so pleasantly surprised and impressed to see a full shower with warm water inside the bathroom. Amazingly clean and shiny bathroom with soap and everything! How wonderful. I gave my girl a shower, washed all her clothes and cleaned myself too. Not only that, but the lovely lady gave my little girl a tiny toddler's Bunnings branded tshirt! I mean, we were grateful enough to have access to a SHOWER inside the store and were ready to go buy her clothes from somewhere around town, but we certainly didn't expect them to give us clothes! And it doesn't stop there. They also gave my 8 year old son a Bunnings school pencil case and a ruler, and gave my husband a pack of heavy duty wet wipes so he could clean the car! I mean. WOW!
This just made our day! Thank you team from the bottom of our hearts. You certainly saved the day for us yesterday. Cheers to the lady with glasses and short grey hair for being absolutely wonderful and compassionate.

Unfortunately I didnt get her name, but the lady who served me at the sales counter was fantastic, friendly, welcoming and informative, everything you want in customer services.rounded off a pleasant shopping experience perfectly

So good. Now we can finally get weekend DIY stuff after noon on a Saturday. Has a great range and friendly, helpful staff.

Staff are lovely.poorly stocked probably can't get the stock in.due to covid and cyclone

Didn't have what I wanted. Heat lamps with bulb. Nice big shop. Lady was doing her best to assist me and was lovely.

I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff upon entry. I asked where I could find a certain product and I was taken directly to it. But unfortunately I was also looking for some lettuce plants and they didn't have any at all. To be honest the whole plant section was a little small for what Mangawhai needs. There isn't a huge selection of coastal tolerant plants. But other than this I was satisfied with my visit.

I was very disappointed, other Bunnings stores have a cafe and sell the best, cheapest coffee in Auckland but this Bunnings is a smaller store and doesn't have a cafe. Without a cafe the only reason I would go to Bunnings is to buy some plants or DIY.

Bunnings Mangawhai is a new store (Nov 2022) nicely setup easily found what we needed and the prices were great and the customer service was excellent

Friendly staff, they went out of there way to help what I was looking for, and assisted setting up future accounts.

After all the hype I was disappointed it's only half the size.didnt have enough variety of what I went for.had to go to mitre 10 in WW instead

Not impressed. Saturday 4/11/22 ordered a outdoor umbrella not in stock but in Whangarei. Staff said it would be ordered and delivered during week and they would call me. Tried to phone twice during week, phone not answered. Finally got through on Friday. Lady said she would check and call me straight back. 3 hours later, no call so I called in. Lady said she forgot. Item hadn't been ordered so she would check with first Lady and call me back. No call. Went in on Saturday 3/12/22. Staff knew nothing about it. This has nothing to do with staff shortage, just exceptionally poor customer service. *later add on. To be fair the first lady kept trying and I did receive a message from the floor manager advising she appreciated the feedback. Work in progress. So, all not too bad, just taking a little time to get things right.

Staff very friendly and helpful. I actually found what I was looking for plus got other things that were really helpful

Need more staff. Waited on the pho e for 10 mins and no reply. Hung up. Quicker to drive down the road and see if you have 2L Seasol back in stock.

Beautiful new building.easy to find.drive through Ma gawhai.towards. Mangawhai Heads.plenty of choice cheerful staff.goid stock. I brought giftvouchers.

Eat a snag and look at tools to get away from ya wife and kids there is always a screw missing or a battery flat on a Sunday
