Line of customers when I was there. 2 staff doing their best. But they said 15mins earlier it was empty lol! Awesome quick stop choice. Wish the seating etc was update but otherwise top marks all round, especially the friendly staff.

I ordered on line for the first time. Waste of time. Order wasn’t ready and a wait of 10 minutes. Order was over charged by $11 from order total on line. We were given back $10. The seafood basket had no tartare sauce included as was advertised. I ordered no salt. Chips had been salted and some were scraps. Not a good experience.

Lovely staff, delicious food and a great place to get an ice cream while admiring the beautiful view of the sea.

Stopped here for lunch and the girls had an Italian cous cous salad that was so good we had to stop there every day to try and get another one! The kumara and bacon and roasted vegetable salads were also so good. Chicken and pesto croissant was also delicious. Place incredibly popular and the staff very helpful and friendly even though they were always very busy.

A great place to stopover for Fish n Chips or just Ice Cream. The loaded wedges was really good, fresh fish and chips nice and crunchy. Enjoy some ice cream afterwards. Picnic tables outside in the courtyard or enjoy it at the beach. Friendly service. It is on the main road, so be careful crossing the road

Wonderful food. Great service and menu. And a beautiful cat named Sylvester. Perfect place for a bite to eat and a beautiful view.

A truely iconic Kiwi store and the most wonderful service and staff. Kiwis go here for the world famous ice cream cone amongst other treats. Highly recommended!

Very busy. The food is fantastic. Great choice for salads and fish good seating outside overlooking cable Bay and clean.

Great service, staff are very friendly. Plenty of room to sit outside whilst waiting for your oder.

A must stop here when traveling Northland. Nice ice-creams, fish and chips, breakfast and lunch. Of course good coffee too. You can also enjoy your food with gorgeous sea views too.

Nice place and good service. Fish n Chips were ok. Nothing wrong with em. One technical issue of wrapping up chips in separate portions seemed a request too far……oh well.

For a country dairy, this place is really impressive in its choices of groceries, cabinet food, coffee, souvenirs and icecreams! Superb location right across the road from the beautiful golden sands of Cable Bay. Friendly service, too.

When I head out to buy dinner the one thing I hope to get is value for my money. I can say that I wasn't disappointed. Great flavors and reasonable portion sizes. Well done

Their burgers are the best
If you're ever in Cable Bay, you have to stop in for one of the best burgers ever, and that's any one on their menu.
Not only is the food fabulous but the staff and service is fantastic. Highly recommend this place for good food and friendly people.

You pricing structure is wonky. How come I pay $10.40 for an order of "min chips and 2 mussels"? I can go have a lamb roast meal in Coopers for $20. I'm not buying your, lovely, premium products - I am simply buying min chips and 2 mussels. And your mussels were very small. You should have a look at your pricing.

First time up in Taipa, had a friend share some beautiful snapper with us that the Cable Bay store kindly battered and deep fried for us, $2 a piece, was sooo delicious, batter was perfect and so were the hot chipsWish we could have got an ice cream too, hopefully next timeThanks Cable Bay Store

One of the best things of our summer ~ coming to the Cable Bay Store for big ice-creams on hot afternoons, great selection of food from comfort to healthy and all delicious, excellent coffee and basic supplies. The prices are reasonable and the staff lovely and working hard during difficult circumstances.
