Jolt reviews
56Nice place to sit and relax with coffee and pastry’s or meal. Although prices a little higher than other locations, the ambiance and food worth it. I do not appreciate a 3% add-on for using credit card.
Jolt is my go to café when down ever I'm having to be down at Whangarei Hospital. It's close enough for the possible urgent call but far enough away to take a break from the hospital mayhem
DELICIOUS GINGERBREAD LATTE
A beautiful atmosphere, the friendliest staff and the bacon mushroom breaky would highly recommend (mushrooms cooked perfectly)
Great coffee & a great place for a business meeting.

Tasty food, we had salmon quiche and enchilada. But try their ginger pistachios slice - heaven! Hard working, bush staff who were pleasant. Thankyou
Lovely atmosphere, staff are friendly and attentive. Great choice of cabinet food and board menu.
Wasn't very empressed with the food. 3 of us and I had to wait a good 10mins after other 2 people got there food and I only ordered a toast sandwich. One of us had the burger which was 24 dollars and the meat pattie was dry and chewy won't go back
A pretty lunch place with a great choice of meal options. Meals were reasonably priced and were served professionally and hot. Food quality was very good.
Vegetarian and gluten free options are available.
Disabled access is good with easy parking immediately outside.
Very fast and friendly service. Food was delicious and good portions. There's a cheese and chocolate deli shop also for some artisan breads and dips.
The BEST trim flat white, extra hot and the BEST decaf soy we experience. I understand why they win awards for their coffees. Also the mushrooms on bruschetta, savoury scone and the double fried chips are some of our favourites. The staff are ‘awesome’! !
Our 50km return trip, we do with pleasure just to enjoy our coffee experience.
Very bad service, we waited an hour for our food as they lost the receipt and didn't cook it. Even after asking about it after 30 minutes of sitting waiting, and being told it would be 10 minutes, it took a further 30 minutes. They didn't apologise at all, in fact were quite rude when in the end I asked for a refund. At one point the manager came to our table and asked if we had taken the receipt as they couldn't find it, but no apology. We won't be back, which is a shame because we've always enjoyed coming here.
I don't often leave review for cafés but I would highly recommend Jolt over most of the cafés I have visited in Wellington. The food is top tier and the moccacino was divine. If you are looking for a café to stop into while you're in Whangārei this is the one. The locals already know it's good.
Great coffee, pleasant staff, good range of food both from kitchen and cabinet. Very good range of gluten free items
Really nice place with lovely atmosphere. Found it a bit expensive compared to other cafes in the area.
Hadnt been to Jolt for a while and i believe it may have changed ownership.
The food was still good and the staff friendly. My friends and i were a little let down in the fact that the orders were not taken correctly and one friend didnt get what she ordered and paid for something ordered by the other friend which shouldnt have happened. They were kind enough to give complimentry coffee cards for the mess up.
I have never had a bad meal at Jolt. I would go there on my own, with my hubby or as family and friends and we would all be happy when we leave. Great food, well priced and friendly staff. We'll done Jolt!
Went to Jolt this morning for morning tea. The Cafe was clean and tidy. Ordered a Steak and Cheese Pie, Sausage Roll and 2 x Cans of Coke (No Sugar) for myself and my daughter. The Steak and Cheese and Sausage Roll were both heated by microwave so were really soggy. The Pie, Sausage roll and drinks came to $27.60! I only time i would be glad to have paid the price would be if it was voted best at the Supreme Pie awards. I thought this was way too expensive. Disappointed.
Been going to Jolt for years because of their great Altura coffee and peaceful garden setting and great service.top notch!
However, very disappointed the meal I always choose - Moroccan Lamb - was half the size and no price reduction! Still tasty but not worth the money.
The bacon and egg on ciabatta my daughter had was also disappointing.very small amd dry for the price!
Will probably go back for the coffee as dogs are welcome but will choose from the cabinet next time if meals are still small for the price.
Beautiful coffee and friendly staff, was very busy (and very moisy) so was a little wait, but otherwise lovely.
Lovely place to sit & have a coffee & a bite to eat. Nice & quiet with super selection of food, all very yummy & very well priced. The people are brilliant & very helpful. Love going there.
